In the ongoing fight with the Blood weaving sect which is a minor subsect of the Heavenly evil palace, the Eternal blossom sect had to take in talents from its affiliated sects, villages and wherever its influence was spread.
So, not only full-fledged masters but promising youths are also taken up and are provided with sect's resources and skill manuals which in normal cases would only be made available to its disciples.
If Agastya joined the attack squad as trainee, he could have gotten access to any manual which isn't a signature skill of the sect.
But learning from illustrations and texts is only beneficial for those who train and practice to apply it in battle.
For Agastya who just wanted to have working knowledge and understanding of it, his imagination would widely differ from actual battle application. Which could one day cost him his life.
So, he wanted to learn them by observing them directly. This is the reason he chose to be a chore boy.
He would often wander around to different parts of the sect and observe various masters and disciples hone their skills.
The physical movements, energy flow, utilization and optimization or in general the sheer amount of working information flowing around him was astonishing.
If possible, he would spend all twenty-four hours of the day observing and absorbing the information. But he still needs to do chores for the squad. Agastya thought this was a small price to pay.
The internal guards and patrollers within the sect would often ignore Agastya even if he was wandering in a place, he isn't supposed to be because of the orders from head guard Wang.
It's for this benefit that Agastya revealed his capabilities in front of Sir Wang. If not for him he would have forfeited his match with Jun Mun after certain extent. He wasn't driven by ego or pride and felt no guilt in retreating when the damage out weights the benefit.
"What's this bastard doing" wondered Jun Mun while looking at Agastya who was replacing broken wooden swords at the training hall.
"If he can already use external arts, he's equivalent to high second-class disciple or lower first-class disciples. Then why is he working as an errand boy with such skills" Jun Mun was suspicious, but since Sir Wang backed him, his suspicions were futile.
"Brother Jun is that servant causing unpleasantness for brother's eyes, if so, I could take care of him" said Ian Mun a junior third-class disciple.
"Don't be stupid. Just don't go anywhere near him" Saying so, Jun Mun left the area.
-----
Wandering around, Agastya often encountered his fellow village mates from Ilhua, but as long as they are not in trouble and are living comfortably, he didn't bother to get involved in their affairs and avoided them.
He was always like this, so they didn't think this was out of ordinary.
Although Agastya always lived in his own world and tried not to take any worldly connections to heart, he always had a soft corner for people from his home.
It was already hard for Agastya to comprehend high level martial arts but in addition to that first class and higher entities of the sect would often train in seclusion and are capable to spot him and send him away.
-----
Late at night Agastya tried to process and make meaning of the information he perceived and gain insights.
Due to this his sleep schedule was cut in half. Though this was harming his health and he knows better to avoid this. He loved the mental stimulation, and it was hard for him to resist.
Apart from martial arts knowledge he still needs to comprehend the World of Chants and the book Unholy worlds secrets.
Agastya immersed himself in meditation and repeated the "Evil Collapsation" chant in his heart and carefully examined his memories of the effect it had on that day back in Ilhua.
"An Intruder" Agastya opened his eyes and looked around.
But as soon as he opened his eyes the sensation disappeared and there was nothing around except for silence and darkness.
"I am sure I sensed a presence" thinking so, Agastya closed his eyes and continued his meditation.
But as soon as he did so, the strange sensation appeared again and gone once he opened his eyes.
"What is happening, is this somehow related to the chant 'Collapsation'" Agastya continued the chanting in his heart eve after he opened his eyes.
To his deduction he was now sensing someone's presence.
"This doesn't make any sense" Agastya wondered.
The workings of the chant 'Collapsation' didn't involve tracking, even if that's the case how was he sensing only that one person and not anyone else in the sect.
When Agastya focused, he found that the intruder was 1000li away and has the same type of energy as the Head of bandits that attacked Ilhua.
This made him leap into a trail of thoughts.
The Unholy Worlds Secrets states that the universe has its own consciousness and is sentient. But the said awareness is in bits and pieces. A chant's power is not originated from within a person and is borrowed from the universe.
Just as people pray to make a connection with god, the user and subject of a chant would be connected in the eyes of the universe.
"Maybe because of the same energy they possess, I am able to sense him" concluded Agastya.
Since he was not a direct subject of his chants the connection was very week. Even with extreme focus Agastya could only sense him when the intruder was in motion. His stealth was almost perfect.
"Judging from his movements he is more likely an assassin. But if elder Wang couldn't spot him then there's a high chance that he is a master of night that I don't stand a chance against. What to do?" wondered Agastya.
Agastya wouldn't be bothered in general, but he is curious about the organisation who attacked Ilhua and the workings of the chant.
"But the place the assassin seems to be headed is the Red Blossom pavilion. But why would he go there, it's the strongest attack force in the sect moreover Its where the captain of the Red Blossom squad Gojo Ruijin resides. He is one of the best masters of the sect next to the sect leader."
"No, he seems to have gone past the pavilion. What's there beyond the pavilion"
"The Blossom library" Agastya realised the intruders' intentions.
