At first Avyanna couldn't make out any visible life forms . Then she saw a ball of red hair surrounded by a mountain of books. Alexis groaned in frustration. The four moved ahead and crowded around him.
Kyra poked his fluff of reddish hair head ."Is he still Alive?"
"How about we find out?" Levi moved backwards and raised his hand upwards and ...
SMACK!!!!!!!
A harsh and heavy slap landed on the head that lay comfortably on the table. The man was startled and rose to his feet murmuring some slurred words.
He wasn't still quite awake as Levi wanted him to be so he gave him another slap on the cheek.
"Why do you keep slapping him! He's harmless!" Sky shot at John.
"It just feels good." John grinned mischievously.
The red - head slowly came to life. "Hello." He said calmly , now wide awake from the two slaps 'a certain someone ' doled out to him. He wore a black robe and had a blood red cape draped over his shoulder and the sign of the cross hung from his neck. "This is Percival the Light Bringer and your final companion on the journey of Slaying the Dragon."
Avyanna accessed him from head to toe. "Is he the strongest you've got ?"
Alexis smiled embarrassingly and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Reached the High Rank of 7 out of 15 in two years while others who've trained for ten years haven't even stabilized their position as Low Rank :5."
Percival bent to the table which he had been sleeping on and started picking up some books and scrolls ; piling them on top of each other.
He moved passed them as silently as a ghost and left.
Alexis volunteered to show them other parts of the palace grounds, while Avyanna held Levi back. She nodded towards the Paladin walking straight ahead without a sideways glance. "What do you think?"
"I don't know ."Levi replied with sarcasm.
"I don't like the feeling I'm getting from this place. I can see so many signs leading to hidden secrets." Avyanna Confided in Levi.
"I'll follow the Guardian of the Sun over there while you watch Percival ...discreetly!" He reminded.
"To be on the safe side..." Avyanna smiled knowingly at him.
A few seconds later , She broke away from the group Leaving an illusion of herself to cover for her.
Magic was the coolest!!!

She tracked him to a hidden chapel. He was on his knees murmuring some prayers. He seemed out of the world. Just him communicating with an invisible higher power.
"I know you're there." He said.
Avyanna emerged from the shadows. "You got me."
"Join me in prayer." He said softly. Avyanna seemed hesitant when her turned and have a saintly smile . "Oblige me."
Avyanna remained standing.
Percival didn't talk anymore. "You are reluctant to have him in your heart. Trust me, once You do all the turmoil you are feeling inside you will disappear."
Avyanna looked up at the Cross and huffed. "How would you know?" She questioned.
"I was once like you. In darkness. At crossroads .No true meaning to my life until I found this place. I finally had a role to play in his grand plan. My lonely puzzle piece finally fit. And I finally felt Something. Of Peace and Content." Percival bowed his head and stood up to face her. "Don't you want that too?"
"Let me Break it to you. First things first, I'm going to say all the words inside my head right now.I'm f*****g sick and tired of people telling me how to live my life.
"Second, Don't you tell me who you think that I should be. I am the one at the sails I'm the master of MY sea. He was never there for me. " Avyanna said all in one breath. "Not even when I needed him the most .Not everyone is lucky enough to have him answer at the first call .Unlike you, other people in the real world have to wait! " She said then turned calm again . "Life is full of pain and agony and I'm not going to hide from that. No prayers could helped me then to get up from choking in the ground and am sure as hell don't need them now."" So no offence..." Avyanna spoke bluntly, all those years of bottled up feelings rained down like hell. "Shove it up your ass."
There were distant cries of battle that could be heard . The monster had just been spotted at the outskirts of the Kingdom. Her presence was needed now.
Percival placed a hand on her passed her and whispered "I'll pray to the Lord ,for you not to be led into temptation."
"No need." I already know the way ." Avyanna responded in s similar tone, with anger mixed with mockery clear in her voice .
She scoffed and left the Chapel and was glad to take in freaky air.
This was her life...
Her will and most of all ...
Her rules.
So She was going to have enough fun with it and live it as much as she could.
And no shitbag was going to make her think otherwise.
