Tom did not use the beach towel on himself but placed it around Amy's shoulders instead and sat beside her by the bonfire. Amy handed him a bottle of vodka the moment he sat down which he accepted.
"Mitch said your scars were from burn wounds. How come you don't them on your body?" Amy casually asked while her gaze was fixed on the bonfire.
Tom looked at Amy surprised by her sudden curiosity since she had been trying to fire him every chance she got. "I was wearing a suit, so it damaged the suit first and I was able to remove it before it got onto my skin."
"My ex-husband died from an explosion and probably got burned alive too," Amy said before chuckling. "I was on a fucking book tour that he didn't approve of," Amy added before starting to cry again.
