Anton woke up with a smile, feeling a sense of happiness and warmth from being able to share the bed with Mary throughout the night.
That smile on his face vanished in an instant as he turned around, only to find Mary's side of the bed empty. Confusion and concern filled his thoughts as he wondered where she could be and why she wasn't there with him.
Alarmed, he swiftly got out of bed and searched the closet and the bathroom, hoping to find Mary. However, to his dismay, she was nowhere to be found. His worry deepened as he wondered where she could have gone and why she had left without a trace.
As he turned around, Anton's eyes fell upon the empty space where Mary's bag had been placed the previous night. Realizing that she must have taken it with her, a glimmer of hope flickered within him. Perhaps she was in the dining area, enjoying her breakfast. He made his way to the dining room, hoping to find Mary there.
