Anton's gaze shifted back and forth between Mary and the road ahead, anxiously awaiting her response. However, he grew impatient as she simply stared at him, completely bewildered.
Feeling his impatience mounting, Anton nervously questioned, "Didn't you say you were ready to settle down if the right person came along? Am I not that person for you?"
Suddenly, he became aware of the potential consequences. What if Mary rejected him? The thought of not only his own heartbreak but also the disappointment it would bring to his parents overwhelmed him.
Finally, Mary snapped out of her daze and smirked. "Alright, I'll accept your marriage proposal," she declared.
Anton was taken aback by her answer and fixated his gaze solely on her. He witnessed her smile before returning her attention to the window. The realization struck him: she had actually said yes. He couldn't believe his ears.
