In the morning, he put on his new clothes and said goodbye to his old ones. He didn't toss them away, instead, just leaving them in another one of those cargo boxes he had inside his tent. There were many similar items that had become worn over the years in there and it was mostly a box of mementoes.
There were also pictures of his family, as well as a military uniform in there, but they had fallen to the bottom with time.
Stepping outside, Leon started day 5 of the 'end of the world' doing his same normal routine of eating and whittling. Now that the inventory was available, he no longer had to worry about food and water. All the wolf meat never went to waste and he planned to go to a nearby river soon to fill up water sacks he also had plans to make.
However today wasn't a crafting day, it was a hunting day. He had basically spent the last two days solely crafting so that he had decent weapons and armor to protect himself. By looking at the system, he could see that he had killed a total of 11 animals for the bonus quest.
The main quest hadn't recognized the first kill he had that earned him the title The First Awakened but it didn't matter much. It also made sense since he hadn't received a quest during that time and if his math was right, he still had another 4 days until the main quest ended despite it being the 5th day since the Universal Law suddenly started bugging him.
He made sure he had all his equipment together before setting off. His wolf leather armor hugged his body snuggly while his belt held several of his items like his crude bone knives, totems, and the leather sheath with his short sword strapped to the back of his waist for easy access.
He unfortunately couldn't use the bow anymore so he now would have to get up close and personal. He wouldn't have the element of surprise as much anymore but it would also be good practice to get used to his extra speed from his Cloak.
As he set off, he looked one last time in depth at his stats and equipment.

When looking at his equipment, the stat boosts he gained from them didn't change the base stats on his page, but adding to them instead, as they were external points rather than something his body actually contained. The equipment was able to push his body into the E rank but that didn't mean he could use that power fully. Not until he became E rank himself.
But not only did the equipment make him feel stronger, it made him feel safer knowing he had something to at least block attacks.
"Oh I forgot to make a beanie." Leon realized after he already left.
The shoulder length grayish- white hair on top of his head was exposed, leaving him a bit colder than usual. Even though the weather didn't seem to affect him as much as he grew stronger, it was better to be safe than sorry if he was to ever get trapped in a storm.
He also used the beanie to help keep his hair out of his face, as it could be detrimental in the middle of a fight if his vision was suddenly obscured. While he was still away from danger, he took an extra strip of leather from the wolf hide that he had made for the armor and tied his hair up with it.
Now he looked like a seasoned Viking warrior with his long hair tied up, a big bushy beard and tough leather armor to accompany his looks. He also had traditional Norse tattoos underneath so it wasn't too far off to say he was a Viking warrior.
The Hudson name was commonly derived from Hudd, which was often used as a nickname for someone who was the son of a man named Richard or Hud(d). It had origins in the United Kingdom and Scotland and was often used by the Anglo-Saxons around the middle ages era. It also has origins in Old Norse as the name is a patronymic.
Once upon a time, Leon and his family had done one of those ancestry DNA things and found they were more of your classic Viking rather than an Anglo-Saxon, not that there was a ton of differences between the two groups of conquerors.
His father wasn't a Richard or Hudd of any kind, but one of his ancestors were bound to be. He had already had several Viking-like tattoos before then due to his rash teen and young adult years but it only encouraged him to get more.
Anyways, he looked cool. Or at least someone might think so if there was anyone but him on the mountain. (A/N: I think he would)
As he made his way following tracks, he began to hear growls and screams in the distance. He could hear multiple of each, meaning it was a big group rather than just a few moving around. It sounded like it could be a big pack of wolves that came across a big herd of deer.
Leon quickened his pace slightly, since now that animals that were normally prey and would run away from predators had begun to fight back, this could potentially be a territorial war of some kind.
The deer may decide to no longer be push overs to the wolves anymore, and may even be actively trying to hunt them down and flipping the roles. He wasn't sure if the deer had enough intelligence for something like that right now, but in the future it could be possible.
As he came to a clearing, he heard a *boom!* as a large amount of snow was kicked up and several of the trees shook. In the distance, he could see a much taller, muscular Elk with its head turned sideways as it skewered a wolf into a tree.
The wolf screamed in pain and flailed around as several points on its body were stabbed all the way through by the large, thick pair of antlers on top of the Elk's head. Leon narrowed his eyes as this deer was definitely dangerous.
It took him a moment, but the reason why he thought it was an Elk was because it was so much bigger than the deer around it. It was still your normal deer, but on steroids apparently. If this was going to be what animals looked like as time passed, it was going to quickly become a very dangerous world.
The Giant Deer swung its head around as it tried to get the now dead wolf off of its antlers. Even though it might have been much stronger than your normal deer, it was still an animal, exhibiting that its intelligence was still low.
For animals that always acted on instincts, it would be normal for them to act more like rabid creatures rather than intelligent humans. Leon wasn't sure if there would ever come a day when deer and wolves would start talking to each other but right now it was war.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Leon slipped in easily and pulled out two totems to gain their effects.
{Mini Wood Wolf Totem (F) - A mini totem made out of wood in the shape of a wolf. It represents the spirit of a wolf, granting you a small amount of its stats once used.}
+2 Attack for 1 hour
{Mini Wood Deer Totem (F) - A mini totem made out of wood in the shape of a deer. It represents the spirit of a deer, granting you a small amount of its stats once used.}
+2 Health for 1 hour
A refreshing wave of energy coursed through his body as he pulled out two crude bone knives at his hips. Using his Silent Steps in tandem with his extra speed stats from the Cloak, he arrived in front of a deer in no time flat.
As the Camo skill wore off, the deer looked like a 'deer in the headlights' as a human appeared out of nowhere before a knife was rammed into the side of its head. It could hardly squeal as the light left its eyes and the bone knife was removed in a bloody mess.
Leon ignored the blood as he already had the knife in his other hand stabbing through the roof of the mouth of a wolf in front of him. The wolf also died a painfully swift death and its body didn't even have time to fall into the snow before the human moved on to kill off the rest of their groups.
*ding!* [Your proficiency in killing by aiming at vital points has-*swish*
Leon ignored the message and continued his killing spree as the Giant Deer glanced at this foreign fighter with dangerous eyes.
