His stats other than mana, were represented by a letter grade. However that didn't mean there wasn't a numerical value attached to it, it was just how the system presented itself. He wasn't quite sure why it was that way, but maybe it was to get humans to think for themselves or learn that not everything is the way it seems.

[I was bored. Its no fun if you human's know everything and tutorials are for the weak.]

"... Don't read my thoughts." Leon forgot to grumble as he continued looking at his system.

While he didn't know what exactly the numbers were for his stats, he had a guess as to what they were. A lot of the knowledge he learned wasn't supposed to be known until much later in the terraformation process.

Terraformation was just the process all worlds had to go through in order to support the ever evolving life on its surface. It would grow physically in size as well as alter its environment and atmosphere through the use of the Universal Law, to better suit the inhabitants of said planet.

Earth had barely started stage 1, which was just to cull the weak and promote the strong. It was your basic survival of the fittest scenario since Universal Law couldn't support all life on a planet in the billions, especially if they were all awakened. The planet itself also wouldn't be able to hold such powers, resulting in an 'end of a world' explosion if such scenarios did come to pass.

As for his stats, most of them were in the F rank while a few were E rank. The ranking system was just a way to tell how strong someone was and what category they may fall into later down the evolutionary line.

F rank was the lowest of the low, a typical rank for mortals who had barely awakened. E was only slightly more powerful than that, but not by much. The early stages were usually considered to be F through D rank, while C and B were the middle stages of evolution and A was the last stage.

After the A rank, it was based on personal talent, whether someone would be able to ascend into S rank and become what humans know as 'Gods.' Gods were essentially beings of unimaginable powers who could wipe out entire galaxies of stars and planets singlehandedly.

Would Universal Law allow that? No. Leon learned that as you ascended to 'immortality' more and more restrictions were placed upon you in order to prevent such beings from bringing ruin to the Universe.

Universal Law held everything in a delicate balance so it needed to prevent the strong from preying on the weak before they even got a chance to prove their worth. It was a system to protect intelligent species up to a certain point and would always find a way to make things fair, in its own way.

Like with how he was attacked by the system and went into a seizure, the system still gave him compensation on top of the knowledge he also got. It wouldn't be wrong to say it was a miracle that he actually survived that knowledge transfer though so maybe his compensation was too little.

The cloak he got as a reward may not seem great in the grand scheme of things right now, since Leon knows about how much stronger a lot of celestial beings might be, but its actually an incredibly generous reward right now.

A C ranked item would be unstoppable at this point in time while all creatures big and small were fighting to gain strength. Most, if not all creatures would be within the F rank since terraformation just started, while a small number might be in E rank already so he had a great base number of stats, not to mention that the cloak can also be upgraded.

At the F rank, he knew stats ranged from 1 point to 10. 1 point was just considered the average human strength. How the system decided that exactly, he wasn't sure but people who worked out regularly would at least have 2 or 3 points in stats like Health, attack or speed mainly.

Those who went above and beyond, like soldiers or top class fighters, would have above 5, and possibly stats already reaching E rank which was between 10-25 points. So for him to have gained 1 point of speed earlier from eating that wolf was a huge find.

With stats being based off of physical abilities, skills were based off of personal experience. Things you learned such as cooking or hunting in Leon's case, could easily be converted into a skill and grow naturally as you used it.

It was similar to how it normally worked in real life, the system just gave it a name and rank to show how proficient you were at something.

All of his skills seemed normal, nothing out of place. But he was a bit intrigued by what the (X) was by his 'don't ignore me!' skill and 'Grumpy Old Man' title. As he didn't have access to that information in his brain right now, he wasn't sure if it was a rank or if it meant he couldn't touch those items or if it was something else exclusive to him due to the system's intervention.

He could only shrug it off and ignore it... as he honestly didn't care.

With the basic stuff looked at, he clicked on the screen in front of him, selecting his title 'The First Awakened.' He had learned that most titles, skills, and items could be selected to bring up a short description in case it wasn't obvious.

He didn't bother checking his skills since they seemed pretty self explanatory.

{ The First Awakened (1) - You are the very first human on Earth to awaken powers granted by the Universal Law System. You are labeled as a 'Protagonist' by the world.

Luck based items and skills are given a 20% boost in rolling higher outcomes.

You will earn double the stat points every level up!

You will instinctively know if you are in the presence of the other 9 'First Awakened' who follow after you.

The world looks favorably upon you. It is your job to prove to the other 'First Awakened' that you are the best of the best. You will be given more difficult quests more often to stimulate growth.}

"Hmm." Leon nodded and moved on.

It was all good stuff compared to what a normal person might get, but he had no plans on becoming a 'Protagonist.' He hoped the other 9 'First Awakened' wouldn't be able to seek him out in any way, otherwise his quiet life would be ruined.

He also wasn't sure if he should be fond of having harder quests or not but that was something to think about when the time came to start a quest.

Having looked at all his stats and titles, it was finally time to look at the items he got. First, he looked at the cloak since it was in his hands.

{Cloak of Concealment (C) {Upgradable} - An item to better help hide your presence and scent from stronger enemies as you first begin your journey as an awakened.

When worn:

+50 Defense

+50 Speed

Camouflage: A passive skill that activates after 5 seconds and holds until you attack or are attacked. Camo can be broken by detection skills of the same level or higher, or by being in close proximity to another living being for a certain amount of time.

Soul bound: open

Next level requirements: 50 D rank soul stones; 20 C rank soul stones; 2 B rank soul stones; another item of C rank or higher.

Durability: N/A}

The stat boosts were simple yet overpowering considering the earth was still on its first day of terraforming. The passive skill was also amazing, as Leon could guarantee his advantage as long as he had 5 seconds beforehand. He was sure it could become handy as an assassin tool and for a hunter like himself.

He was also slightly surprised to see that it had a soul bound option, but held off on it. There were no other intelligent species around for dozens of kilometers so there was no reason for him to make a rash decision like this. It was better to wait and see what happens for a while.

As for the level up requirements, he barely looked at them since there was no way a C rank monster, let alone a B rank one was even on earth right now. From what he knew on terraforming, it first started with mostly just the species on earth competing with each other. Meaning that he would only be dealing with animals that he knew, just stronger.

It wasn't until the second stage of terraformation that monsters from other worlds could start pouring in. Until then, he didn't care. As for the durability, he was curious why it said N/A, but left that for later. If it meant unbreakable, then good.

[Hurry up and open your special reward! I wanna see!]

"Shut it," Leon scolded the bratty Universe, "Why do you even want to know? Can't you just see what's in it anyways?"

Universal Law was basically omnipotent and he was sure that it would be able to know what was in it, since it was the one who created the item in the first place.

[Well, that is true, but its a random reward. Even I can't predict everything; but I do know what your reward is related to hehe.]
