Philip was indeed right because when they got to the museum there were lots of people inside. This place must be really popular if those many people were in.
"Wow so non of these on display actually have a story yet, so how do they separate the real deal from the junk?" Serena asked and Philip shrugged, how was he supposed to know that? he had already told them everything he knew.
"Should we separate?" Jeffrey asked.
It was a reasonable idea because them sticking together would not yield anything but Philip did not trust Serena enough to let her go by herself. If any accident happens, his dad would probably skin him alive.
"I think we should probably stay together, there's a lot of time anyway" Philip sighed.
Jeffrey read his expression and knew that he must have made that decision because of Serena so he did not refute it.
Serena who was being spoken about wasn't even paying attention to the conversation. She was looking around and still hanging on to the hope of finding a wardrobe goddess.
As they started moving around, Serena was interested in almost everything, making Philip roll his eyes a couple of times, his eyes were starting to ache.
After almost twenty minutes of wandering the boys finally found something that caught their attention.
"It says dragon scale, do you think it's real?" Philip asked, his face brimming with excitement.
"I don't know, it looks like a mangled shield" Jeffrey replied.
"Well, no one is going to know unless the treasure decides to speak. Let's move on" Serena said while pushing Philip but the guy was frozen solid.
"Philip?" she called but there was no response.
"Looks like the treasure picked him, interesting" Jeffrey muttered under his breath.
Serena who heard what he said gasped. "The treasure picked him?!"
"Classic" Jeffrey rolled his eyes after seeing the attention she had drawn.
"Wow someone's been picked"
"I've been trying all morning why can't I get picked?"
"Who is it, who got picked"
"Look at that kid, it must be him, he's not moving just like the those from yesterday"
Jeffery heard these conversations and sighed in exasperation, staring at Serena with cold eyes.
"Oops" Serena chuckled awkwardly.
People were starting to gather which resulted in an employee coming along to check things out.
"Excuse me" he made his way through the crowd and after seeing the item on display was a dragon scale he froze in shock.
"We need to take the young man to the top floor. Are you with him?"
"Yes we are, we'll help you carry him" Jeffrey answered and then with Serena's help lifted the stoned Philip off the ground.
They have led to a waiting room by the employee and after some time the employee came back with a man clad in a blue suit.
"I've been told your friend was picked by a dragon scale" the man said, sitting opposite them.
"Indeed and I'm sure it must be a big deal if you took your time to meet us" Jeffrey said with a calm expression.
The man silently observed Jeffrey. "Do you know me?"
"Of course not but the employee went to get you meaning you run this place"
The man was speechless for a couple of seconds but then regained his composure. "You look like a smart one so this shouldn't take too long. Information regarding mythical beasts is classified so we need your friend to sign a non-disclosure contract"
"I can't make decisions for him. You can tell him that when he wakes up" Jeffrey said as his brows furrowed. Things were definitely off.

Meanwhile, after Philip was frozen his consciousness was sucked into a black space. Even after floating in the middle of nowhere Philip was not scared or maybe he forgot he was supposed to be.
"Hello!!!" he called out into the nothingness. 'I feel like the ML of a super cool book'
While he was still in his thoughts flames started appearing, lighting up the space and in most of the fire a mighty dragon stood, looking down upon him.
'Oh mighty God of awesomeness I love you' Philip thought with a surprised gasp. His eyes shone and his heart was pounding so fast it was about to burst.
"I am seeing a real dragon, a fucking real dragon!!" Philip slapped himself a couple of times just to make sure he wasn't dreaming.
"Calm down boy!" the dragon's voice reverberated.
And Philip felt he was in heaven but his brain was still working a bit. "You're speaking a different language but why can I understand you?"
"I want you to. How did you get in here?" the dragon spoke again.
"I thought you called me here...must be the scale than" Philip shrugged still smiling widely.
"My scale? did you find my body?"
"Um no, the scale is in a museum" Philip scratched the back of his neck. "Who are you?"
'What is a museum?' the dragon thought but it did not ask, to it humans were lowly life forms.
"I am Zakhir, the last of the royal dragons. This must be the remaining bit of my consciousness. So state your request, I'm not in the mood to kill" Zakhir then took the form of a human and walked towards Philip.
'So dragons are real and they can transform into humans'
"What kind of a dragon are you? No offense but I've read a lot of different comics about dragons and each one has different ways to describe you" Philip said.
"Is that your request human" Zakhir asked?
Philip nodded. "I want to know everything about dragons from you"
"A good choice but there's too much to tell you and I'm pretty sure you don't have that much time" Zakhir said.
"If I leave can I come back?" Philip asked worriedly.
"You don't have to worry about that"
Philip nodded and closed his eyes, after that his consciousness returned to his body and he opened his eyes.
