" He should be fine. There are some burn injuries but I have seen him heal even broken bones." Cyra said after inspecting Noah's body. Her concentration falter when she looked at his naked chest, she couldn't help but glance at it for few seconds.
In just two weeks, Noah's body changed from slightly chubby to a ball of muscle, maybe because he kept getting injured burning his energy or because he was constantly in battle since he arrived here. Regardless of the circumstances, he had returned to his peak physique.
Julia watched the twinkle in Cyra's eyes and said," Are you sure? You seem more interested in our leader's body." As a 'adult', she knew the intricacies of relationship between man and woman.
Cyra face flushed instantly but she soon returned to her serious demeanor," You are just seeing things. I was just cleaning him up, his wounds could be infected beside we don't have the luxury of your Chief Mera's recovery magic."
The boys also entered the tent with a hint of worry in their eyes, Jake who carried Noah all the way up the small hill was exhausted but he was more worried about Noah's injuries. Milo had seen Noah recover from more fatal injuries, he still remembered the sight of countless arrows impaling his back at that top of the wall during that fateful day.
He never had more admiration for anyone because he witnessed his courage up close as he was among the few that were perched up on top of the wall. Cody stayed quiet not knowing what to say, he could see large burns on Noah's body, even half of his face looked red.
Cyra with the help of Julia managed to pull out all the sharpanels from his body. Few deep ones managed to lodge itself inside his body, because of the heat, they had to cut open a part of his skin to remove them.
The reason why both girls were so calm was because they saw his body heal with their own naked eye. Noah never mentioned it but his body was clearly special but the boys didn't know that.
" As I said, he is not going to die to relax. Let him rest for now." Cyra grabbed the kids and dragged them outside his tent.
" For now we will wait for my brother. In the meantime, did you pack things to eat?" She asked. Unlike the kids, the brother and sister didn't have much time to prepare for this journey.
Fortunately, the kids came prepared. They took out few already prepared meals and even some jerky that hunters used on their hunting expenditures. Noah never really went around to summon food for the kids because of his limited weight and slots.
As they enjoyed a leisure meal while watching the sunset from the cliff, a tired Bijan made his way toward the campsite. It took him over an hour to extract the useful materials from the Alpha Canis' corpse.
" Brother! you are here!" Cyra said cheerfully. The kids also looked at him wobbling toward their tents.
" Don't brother me! You left me alone!" He said begrudgingly. While whole appearance shifted to more haggard one.
From top to bottom he was either covered with soot or blood, even his face didn't escape the dreadful debry of destruction Noah left behind. Cyra looked at his appearance and chuckled, he looked like one of the miners they met during their travels.
" Here!" he put down the large sack and few things that he tried around his combat belt.
" Since it's whole body burned to the crisp, I couldn't collect any furr. Who knew fire were so effective against such a monster? Regardless, I manage to get only one of it's ruby eyes since the other one was destroyed. It's claws are unscathed even under intense heat, these are excellent materials for magic weapons." His grumbling expression turned to one that of excitement while he listed off the items he procured.
" Magic weapons?" Cody exclaimed. He had heard some stories from his parents in which the brave warrior would often use them to defeat formidable foes. In his eyes, they seemed to be the epitome of weapons, an essential weapon to face enemies!
" I heard that those Magic Guilds handle such things. There are many crafters under them who makes various weapons and artifacts with these valuable materials. I heard they go for quite a lot of money." Milo added adding more branches to the fireplace.
" How much money?" Jake said before anyone else could say anything. Since most of their life revolved around their tiny village, they never even seen enormous amount of money as most of the materials exchanged by the elders were traded for essentials goods that couldn't be found on the mountain but he did see few gold coins while traders visited their place.
" Maybe enough to buy a large villa in the capital? I don't know." Milo answered. It was something his father told him during one of his drunken blabber.
" You know quite a lot about these things. There are not many people that venture outside the village right? Were your family one among the lucky few?" Cyra asked.
Milo expression turned grim when she mentioned his family but before the situation deteriorated, Bijan who seemed oblivious of the tension pulled out a large shiny stone that he kept around his chest. Unlike rest of the material, he treated this thing like it was something that could break by blowing winds!
" Thats..thats..." Cyra stuttered at the sight of it while kids looked confused.
" hahahaha, see this is the most valuable find of my entire life! With this we can buy the whole damn city if we wanted to!" Bijan stood proudly laughing maniacally. He thought about giving them a surprise but other than Cyra none of the kids reacted like he expected.
" That's a magic stone! How come it's this big!" Cyra exclaimed alarming everyone. With swift movement, she snatched the stone away from Bijan's hands. He was shocked, the girl used her powers just to steal the stone away from him? Was she the same cute sister or a goblin in disguise!?
