Everyone saw the three people in robes marching toward the front of the army. They had menacing aura around them that was completely opposite to their lanky frame.
" Don't you when to give up? Why are you so desperate to die miserably?" Noah shoved aside Mera and stood at the front. He had the weapon that he was most familiar from his time in Special forces, the Sig Spear LT, an advanced M4 variant rifle.
This bad boy had all the attachments, the MCX lower attachment and several a gen two thirty round magazines. Due to it's lightweight, he had only exhausted one slot for his daily summoning quota. But he also used one slot earlier for basic supplies and more medicine which meant, he only had some more remaining slot.
If something were to go wrong he can lose his life here along with other villagers. With a quick head count of the army, he knows that every bullet mattered but he hoped they would back down themselves because he didn't want to needlessly obliterate knowing they could never win without any ranged weapons.
" Brat your empty threats will not work here. You have angered this old man by using cheap tricks, I will make sure to boil you alive!" The man said in coerse voice as he finally decided to show his face. The man leading the three sorcerers was old, much older than Noah anticipated.
He had long white hair along with a thick beard, despite looking like he will kick the bucket at any time, his eyes were unwavering.
" Oh my god! That's the flame sage! They manage to bring the scarlet lord here!?" One of the villagers shouted. Alastair and Mera also looked grimly at the lanky old man, Mera only heard about him but Alastair had fought alongside the noble sorcerer couple of times and had seen how much damage his abilities could do on the battlefield.
He still had some trust in Noah's strange abilities but against the old man's flame magic, there was no escape from his rapid close range attacks. The other two sorcerers stood back like knowing what was about to happen.
Noah didn't know why everyone was freaking out but he could see the old man's glowing red eyes and knew not to underestimate him. He still didn't know much about the sorcerers and how their powers worked so he decided to take a warning shot to gauze what they were up against.
" Young man, you should stop here. We should resolve this though peaceful talks or else this whole place would burn down." Alastair tried to stop him but Noah tapped his shoulder and said," Just trust me old man, let me do my thing. Even though your daughter tried to evict me the village had helped me with the injuries. The least I can do is to stomp few greedy flies!" Noah said the last part out loud seemingly trying to get a response from the old man.
But the old man was a veteran, he wasn't going to show his hand because of his cheap provocations but the two other sorcerers were not that experienced.
" Master let me show him the price for disrespecting you!"
" Yes, master, let us take care of him. He won't be able to sneak attack anymore!" It sounded like a young man and woman by the tone of their voice. Noah could see their bodies beginning to glow slightly, he remembered his body glowing too but when Mera was healing him, he didn't see her go though the same phase.
" Alright, I will give you a chance." The old man thought it was good chance to let his pupil have some battle experience but he was ready to jump in if their lives were threatened.
" Alright, sons' of bitches! Let's me see what you got!?" Noah readied her firearm ready to intercept anything. Unlike old man they didn't put aside their robes instead started running toward the gate.
The man kneeled down touching the ground while the woman kept on running getting quite close to the gate. Noah could have shot both of them but he wanted to see what they were trying to do.
Suddenly the ground beneath the woman seemed to shift, it first made a dip before shooting up taking the woman with it. The woman used that momentum to lunge directly toward Noah and others.
" Everyone get back!" Samuel shoved Mera out of the way and took on step fully prepared to meet the woman's attack. He knew that attack was somehow connected to her arms because it was the only exposed area that was glowing heavily, it had a dark blue hue giving off a chilling and ominous aura.
He waited for her to 'shoot' but she leaped with her hands at the front like it was a sword? Noah pushed her weapon forward to block her hands, the barrel of the rifle hit her hand head first. Samuel expected her to fly backward like a ragdoll but instead sparks began to fly as soon as they made impact.
As soon as he saw that, he leaped backward narrowly escaping her other hand that was slashing away at his stomach!
" Fuck that was close! What the hell is this?" he felt chills running down her spines but not because he was scared because his gun felt like ice! He endured it and tried to dodge her attacks, she started attacking her with kicks.
One of her kicks grazed his shoulders but it didn't reacted similar to her hands. He instantly remembered how Mera used her powers, she needed to physically touch the target to heal them which was different from his own summoning technique.
" I just need to be wary of her hands right?" Noah started pushing back which surprised the woman. Normally if she managed to come this close to her prey, she was able to immediately cut them down! Since she obtained this power, there was not a single thing she wasn't able to cut through with her razor sharp hands that included the swords and plate armours! She might need couple more hits but with her precise hands, she could hit the same spot countless times until she broke through!
But the thing the young man was holding was able to withstand her onslaught without breaking down? It was also able to repel her attacks like she was hitting a brick wall!
" So that's it?" Noah came close enough to touch her head. He had already learned her attack patterns and her being lost in her own thoughts didn't help her defend.
" Shit!" She tried to back down but she heard the same loud bang again. The muzzle that was facing her lit like the sun before she fell down on the floor. It happened again! No one knew what the young man did but the woman was down!
