A man stands alone on the battlefield in the aftermath of a great battle. Seemingly all alone with a sword covered in blood. The man breathes heavily and remembers how he got here.

The man's name is Arcana Veil and he was born in 1275 in the Era of Strife. His parents were humble farmers and he was the eldest and only son out of his 3 siblings. He worked the farm as soon as he was old enough as his father was addicted to gambling and was in deep debt to the village chief. When he was 15 the war between the Elven kingdom and the Human Alliance finally kicked off after years of bad blood between them do to the treatment of slaves on both sides. Young men as young as 13 were drafted immediately and since Arcana's village was the closest to the capital city of the Human Alliance he was among the first to be drafted. As his siblings were to young to go to war as the Eldest of the 3 sisters only being 10 and their father being to old and worn to go Arcana was drafted, initially he was scared but was somewhat relieved when he was told that as a soldier of the Human Alliance his family would be given supplies while he is away and all debts would be paid as soon as he completed his basic training and was considered a full blown soldier. After that he packed up said farewell to his family and friends and was shipped to the military fort near the capital. He was tested for talent and was surprised to find that he was extremely talented when it came to the sword and was slightly above average when it came to magic talent. Which meant depending on his results in basic training he might be considered for the Magic Knight Corp. On his first day of basic training his drill sergeant was at first disappointed in Arcana because he was very timid and shy, but over time the drill sergeant was proven wrong time and time again as he beat record after record solely because of his talent, will, and perseverance. at the end of basic training Arcana was at the top of his class in almost everything except for magic power due to his talent being somewhat average but he still placed 3rd place in Magic class due to how he used his magic. Normally a magic knight will use his magic to buff his blade for more damage or precision, but Arcana buffed his body instead using wind magic for more speed and quicker reaction time and buffed his blade with a type of null magic called Hard pierce which increases his blade's ability to pierce through armor and magic barrier's. Using this he was able to surprise his enemies with a quick attack straight against magical barrier's or armor instead of looking for weak spots. by the end of basic training his power was comparable to a 10 year war veteran. After that he was accepted into the Magic Knight Corp and went through a additional few months of training and by the time Arcana was shipped to the front lines the Human Alliance was in dire straights. The Elven kingdom had managed to create a new type of Magic technology called an Arcane Shield which can be used by anyone and could be powered by Mana stones instead of a person's own magical energy. The Elven kingdom has been able to mass produce these and it has made the survivability of Elven soldiers a lot higher but made the human soldiers survivability a lot lower. But Arcana managed to get passed this by using hard pierce to be able to bypass their Arcane Shield. A year after he was shipped to the front lines Arcana was already a field commander and was considered an absolute legend rarely losing a battle and managed to beat back the Elven kingdom to their borders. The war then entered a standstill for about 7 years, neither side being able to gain any ground until Arcana now a Field General made a suicidal charge to break the standstill with permission given to him by the King himself and most of the men that went with him did so knowing full well that they might not make it back. He managed to break the Elven line and drove them back to their capital. After this battle not many made it back with Arcana himself suffering heavy injuries. But it was a success and everyone treated Arcana as a war hero, but not everyone was happy about his success. A hotty Noble Family had lost their heir in that suicide charge and was seething in rage and used their power over the Royal family to get the crown prince to court martial Arcana with false evidence that he was secretly working with the enemy. Even though the majority of the Nobles and commoner's disagreed with this charge The Hotty Noble Family still had enough power to get it done and Arcana was charged with treason and 10 battalions of soldiers completely loyal to the Hotty Noble Family was sent to kill Arcana and his men due to the obvious result that Arcana's men will fight against them and it seems that the Elven kingdom intercepted this information and launched an attack at the same time. Arcana's men were caught unprepared and exhausted. Still it was a long and bloody battle that resulted in the Elven force being almost completely decimated with only a few hundred men surviving and the Noble Family's forces being forced to retreat due to suffering heavy loses. Arcana was not killed but all his men fell in battle. By the time the Noble Family's forces regrouped and went back to finish the job Arcana was gone. The force of soldiers was immediately sent to Arcana's village to deal with his family. Arcana managed to get there a little too late as his village was burned down by the time he got there and all of his family except the oldest sister was dead. Arcana was overwhelmed by grief and rage and immediately followed the army and they led him to the Noble Family's fief and he went straight for the Noble Family's castle and when he got there he found out his eldest sister had been tortured and killed by the Noble Family's 3rd eldest son because he wanted her for himself but she refused so he had his fun and then killed her. Arcana after finding this information slaughtered the entire Noble Family and even publicly tortured the 3rd son for an entire day and then impaled him on a wooden pike Vlad style. He was then labeled a killer and a huge bounty was placed on his head. He then spent the next 6 years evading the law and even started his own organization just to take down corrupt and evil nobles, kings and people of any kingdom. At the start of this tale Arcana Veil no longer is a legendary military figure and leader of the strongest assassination organization on the planet. He is now posing as nothing more than a wandering warrior who wishes to explore the world and discover the secrets it has. Arcana Veil or as he is now called Veru Block is a 29 year old army veteran who fought the elves and is now a Wandering Warrior. Veru will meet many new people most will go their own way but there are a few who will join him. How will these men and women fare when they find out Veru is Arcana the most ruthless Soldier ever and given the title The Terror of Moon Plain for which all of Elven kind will remember for eternity.
