Chapter 1 - A Reader’s Frustration

"What a shitty novel" rolling my eyes as I read the latest chapter of 'Demon Conquerer'

'And that was the last of the money in my bank account too…' I sigh as I exit out of a reading app to check the money in my bank account, staring at it pitifully.

Instead of feeling worse about spending the last of my money on a stupid chapter of a stupid book, I decide to take a nap.

-

I opened my eyes to see… nothing. Just plain darkness.

"Pathetic human, you think you can just insult the biography of a mighty hero and get away with it?" A loud voice coming from the distance full of anger spoke.

'Huh? Is this a dream?'

"You are not the first to express such thought about this book. But! For insulting a great hero, you shall be punished, unless you beg for forgiveness." The voice sounded closer and more irritated than before for some reason.

'Just what is that voice talking about?'

I spot a transparent white blob bouncing towards me. "You better kneel down before me and apologize. After all, I am the one that created that story" the blob looked angrily at me before bouncing up and down like a child throwing a tantrum.

'Ah, so that's why it's so angry'

Looking at the blob, I tried to hold in my laughter. The sides of my lip slightly twitching.

Pftt-!

"Did you just laugh at me, you dumb mortal! You don't know what kind of power I have!" instead of looking clear, the blob looked a bit red.

"I'm sorr-pft you look so- not what I expected."

"How dare you laugh at me! Know your place, mortal. Now apologize before I send you to the world where the hero resides!" It looked even redder now, kind of like a tomato.

"I never knew blobs could be this narcissistic, let alone have a personality."I mumbled not as quietly as I had hoped.

"Why you-! You should be grateful that you are in my divine presence at all! I'll have you know that this isn't my true form. If I showed you what I look like right now, you would die before you even got past the shining light." The blob seemed a little full of itself.

"Alright fine, I apologize for insulting the story created by the great divine blob." I said, suppressing the urge to roll my eyes.

"That's what I thou- Hold on, you're being sarcastic aren't you!"

'Oops, did I accidentally say something wrong or did I laugh? Well either way, I got caught'

"You don't believe do you, well fine!" The blob was now actually the color of a tomato, maybe even redder.

Darkness enveloped me while I was observing the color of the blob.

"Serves you right, you foolish mortal! You really think you can make fun of a god?" Was the last thing I heard before completely blacking out
