I was buying this dagger and some new clothes with the Gold I had left from buying the food but I found I was short 10 gold "your short 10 gold" the merchant said "I don't have it" I said with honesty "everyone says that but they still have it" the merchant said in an angry tone "w-wait" I said trying to get the merchant to stop "Guards!!!" the merchant yelled I looked around to see three guards running toward the merchant stand I was at, "what's wrong?" one to the three guards asked, "nothing" I told the guard "this guy is stealing from me" the merchant said, "tell us the whole story" another guard said. After the merchant finished telling the guards the story, "well I'm sorry sir but you're under arrest" one of the guards said, "but I didn't do anything!" I yelled while looking around for Eli "I'm sorry sir but it's our job" said a different guard, while one of the guards grabbed my hands and tried to chain my hands together "I promise I didn't do anything" I said while pushing the guard that grabbed my hands, and then I kicked the guard in the leg, which made the guard lose his balance, and started to run towards Eli and hid behind him "Woah what happened?" Eli said in a concerned tone "they're trying to arrest me" I said in a panicked tone while hugging him "Sir I think it would be the best option if you did- wait Elijah is that you?" one of the guards said looking at Eli "yeah it's me but why are you chasing my friend?" Eli said with a stern tone "he was stealing from a merchant" said one of the guards "no I wasn't trying to steal I was Just short 10 gold" I said in a frustrated tone "Guess at how many thieves have said that and was lying" said another guard "a lot but I promise I'm not lying" I said to the guard "Honey please stop resisting arrest" Eli said in a worried tone, I look up at Eli with confusion "what?" I asked Eli while wondering if I heard him correctly "go with them I don't want you to get in more trouble" Eli said with a concerned tone in his voice "o...okay," I said with a confused tone "If you come with us now we won't tell them you resisted arrest," one of the guards said, I let them chain my hands together and then started to walk away from Eli, I look back at Eli to see him with an apologetic look.
