In galaxies vast, where stars brightly gleam,
Stood Christopher Pike with a warning, a dream.
His world called Earth, a blue orb in the sky,
Shared tales of its past, of how it did nearly die.
Utopian images graced screens in the hall,
Of diplomats and civilians, one and all.
Their eyes filled with wonder, faces alight,
For Earth's present was beautiful, a breathtaking sight.
"But once we knew chaos," Pike began to speak,
"Like shadows at noontime, our future did look bleak.
The 21st century, our age of despair,
Echoes the discord that your world now bears."
Monitors shifted, showing Earth's past,
From peace to eruption, to devastation so vast.
A glimpse into futures that weren't so bright,
For both Pike's Earth and this world tonight.
"Wars for freedom," he said, "are not new,
Our second Civil War, the pain it did brew.
The Eugenics, World War III, all took their toll,
A world in turmoil, losing its soul."
Skies above capitals turned fire and ash,
As nukes laid waste with a deafening crash.
Species extinct, a third of souls gone,
Global suicide, a new deadly dawn.
He looked at them sternly, his message quite clear,
"The tools to destroy, are now very near.
Competing for liberty, the rubble will rise,
If you choose the path of your own demise."
His voice softened, a glimmer in his eye,
"Yet hope is not lost, for the sky's still the sky.
Our destinies, perhaps, are still our own craft,
The choices we make, in the present and aft."
The Federation of Planets, a beacon of hope,
Stands for unity, a way to cope.
"Join us," he beckoned, extending his hand,
"For together, united, we can make a stand."
In the vast cosmic dance, where destinies twine,
Pike's words took flight, crossing space and time.
A beacon of hope, a clarion call,
Urging unity, before another world's fall.
Each decision we make, every path that we tread,
Holds the power of change, for the living and dead.
Embrace life with fervor, let passion never end,
For each moment's a promise, and futures we can mend.
"So what path will you choose?" Pike's voice held the sky,
A world divided by hate, or where unity lies?
Decide with heart, let wisdom prevail,
For the journey ahead sets the wind in our sail.
