"It sure is quiet around here with the little brat gone." Harley says quietly to herself. It had only been a month since her daughter Naevia had left with Ash and Misty's son Agron to try and be the next best Pokemon Masters in the world. "I sure do miss that little pipsqueak."
She sighs and walks over to her memorabilia room where all her costumes and old gear was. She had taken her family along with Ash's to see her old home world one more time and they initially bought a vacation house in one of the nicer parts of Gotham but what the others saw as a different and potentially nice place Harley knew the true horrors it could hide. So after a few days, they returned and Harley begged her husband Polaris to destroy the portal machine. Despite it being on the way to be the most critically acclaimed creation of the millennium, Polaris did as his wife asked. He had seen her memories and yes she had fun times but most of them were horrendous and she still carried the scars to prove it.
She runs her hand across her old bat, which still had a few dents and dinks. Then her eyes fall on two small items and a smile cracks her lips.
One was about six inches long and four inches high in the shape of a bat and the other was slightly smaller maybe 4 inches wide and tall in the shape of a kinda round R.
"As much trouble as I gave y'all, you never hurt me as badly as you could have. Especially you Bats. If things were different maybe we could have done more good together... or be together, I never did like Bat-girl. "

Smash, Crash, Clang
CRACK
Harley whirls around and rushes out of the room and sees a hole in the ceiling straight to the sky. "That's Naevia's room." She knew Naevia wasn't home and therefore couldn't get hurt but she hurries up the stairs anyway and busts into the room.
She takes in the damage and as she does her eyes land on a familiar girl clad in purple with purple hair in a double ponytail.
"What the hell are you doing crashing through my roof Jinx?! Who the hell is that who crashed through my floor?!"
Jinx coughs as she sits herself up. "You should ask Boy Wonder that. I'm an innocent bystander like always." She replies with a smile.
"Boy Wonder? Like Robin Boy Wonder?" Harley asks a little excitedly. In the past, she was on a slightly complicated slope with him but now she might be able to fix it like she did with Bruce.
"Yup. He's probably dead by now though. This blood is his, not mine." Jinx tells her and Harley's heart stops. Now that she looked over Jinx, she did see that there was a scary amount of blood that soaked her suit.
"I'll be back. Stay there. The washer is down the stairs, second closet on the right." She says as she runs downstairs.
"Where could I go? I saw my surroundings on the way down. We definitely ARE NOT in Jump City anymore." Jinx wonders as she stands and dusts herself off the best she can before looking around the room and as she does she gets more surprised by the minute. "Wow, she really turned a new leaf... not a leaf, she turned a whole new tree."
Harley gets downstairs to where in place of her coffee table is debris and a now familiar figure.
"Oh my. Hey there Bird-brain. Been a minute."
Earlier in Jump City
"EVERYONE GET OUT! THIS PLACE IS ABOUT TO..."
KABOOOOOM
RIIIIIIIIIIING
All Robin could hear is the muffled cries of his team and the horrendous ringing in his ears as he crawls to a fallen pillar and starts to pull himself up.
"MSldbcdxjiksals."
"Djajcjskr."
"Dixskxhd."
"DICK! GET UP MATE! WE ARE LEAVING!" Cyborg picks Robin and he shakes off the explosion.
Raven looks around and notices something. "Where's Starfire?"
"Over there!" Beast Boy yells pointing across the room to where a dazed Starfire is crawling across the floor.
"I got her. Cyborg, open a door or portal or something. Get us outta here. The Hive has us too deep in their grip." Robin commands him. "No one let him get interrupted."
"On it." Cyborg complies.
"No one's touching him." Raven confirms.
"No one will get to mama either." Beast Boy says.
"Bet." Robin says giving them a thumbs up.
After dodging multiple projectiles and explosions Robin picks up Starfire. "Hey Star. Cyborg is opening up an exit let's get..."
Just as he is explaining what is about to happen a few portals rip open the space around them. Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy are immediately sucked into the one closest to them.
From what Robin could immediately see there were seven portals and from how the area looked if you got in one of the cross portals pulled you would be killed instantly by the multiple portals ripping your body apart. Then he noticed the head wound Starfire had and realised why she couldn't recover.
"They went into that portal. If we get them now we can get them at their lowest!"
Robin didn't know who said it but all he knew was that one of the Hive was planning to try and finish his team. He picks up Starfire and stumbles to the portal. "Oi. What are you doing Robin?"
He looks down at the half-conscious woman in his arms and smiles. "Help out Cyborg. I know he'll make a fine leader."
"N-n-no... I..." She says tried to reach up and touch his face but she was too tired.
"I'll miss you too. It's better to lose one member instead of 5. Remember me okay?" he places a bird-a-rang in her hand and lightly kisses her forehead. She knew what he was doing. She also knew if she could say the words he wouldn't do it.
"Don't... le-leave..."
"The Teen Titans has been good to me. Now it's time to return the favour."
"No, Robin. Don't leave me. Please. I... I... I love you."
Starfire's body screamed for her lips to open. To say the words that would bring him with her. But she was so tired. The last thing she felt and saw was the soft smile of Robin tossing her into the portal. Her left tightened around his device and with the last of her strength reached to him with her right. Everything seemed to slow down. It was bright, very bright. Next thing she knew she was accelerating, there was a flash, and then she was falling.
With the very last of her consciousness, she slows herself down just enough to avoid killing herself.
CRASH
CRACK
CRASH
SNAP
KALUMP
"Robin.. It hurts... Help me." Just before her vision fades the singular thought that ran across her mind reminds her of what happened and she slowly looks towards the sky where the portal was slowly closing. And for a split second she thought she could make out the shape of her Robin falling and then her vision turns black.
Robin turns to face the unknown members of the Hive who seemed pretty confident they would get past him. He looks at his wrist and nods contently as he confirms it is now dark red. Once it hits black Batman would arrive and everything would end well. He just had to hold out.
Thanks to his magnetic boots he wasn't getting sucked into the portal and he was currently blocking everything trying to get in. Then finally a familiar ripping sound as the portal behind him starts to close.
"Hurry, get past him now!" The Hive members all give a battle cry as they rush him.
"Say cheese." Robin tells them with a smile as they come at him. He close reaches the sides of his utility belt and in the gaps of his fingers are four round balls. He uncrosses them and in an X form while extending his arms he tosses the eight small balls and a couple seconds after release they explode almost simultaneously into a blinding light just as the portal closes.
Robin opens his eyes upon hearing their cries of pain and quickly moves through them knocking out three as he pushed past them. One of the members he recognised was iffy but if he played it well it would end in his favor, and he was normally good with his bets.
He grabs her with two intents, one being she was a hostage. However in a desperate attempt to stop him the remaining members while still blinded all launch explosives in his general direction. His hostage struggles but he was stronger and with her in his grip jumps just as the explosives go off and both of them are caught in a portal.
"ROBIN!"
As he is sucked into the portal he looks towards the gruff voice.
"Ah, he made it. I win." He mumbles to himself as he watches Batman fire his grappling hook. Robin reaches out, his fingers touch it, and grabs it.
"NOOOO!" Snap
The portal closes and the line is cut.
Robin was now in pain. He was hurting everywhere. His suit was soaked in his blood. He knew he was going to die when he crossed over. He had long ago told his captive he would toss her into the abyss if she resisted so she lay in his arms.
And then he felt the acceleration. They were spinning but he got them under control and managed to get to bottom just as the building appeared.

...
"What the hell are you doing crashing through my roof Jinx?! Who the hell is that who crashed through my floor?!"
"I know that voice."
"Oh my. Hey there Bird-brain. Been a minute."
SMACK
"OW, FUCK. WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! YOU REALLY ARE BIRD-BRAIN." Harley grumbles after stumbling backwards and angrily holding her nose after Robin managed to hit her even in a prone state. "You are so lucky I have a daughter now or I'd beat your ass even in that state."
After she recovered she sees him in a battle stance. "Even at Death's door you still got spunk." She says getting ready to fight. However, her eyes watch as his staff falls from his hands and lightly clatters on the floor. And he drops to his knees. "Pooey. I thought I would be able to test my skills."
She says jokingly but the smile quickly vanishes.
"I'm sorry..."
"What now?" She asks barely hearing him through his coughs and ragged breath.
"Bruce... I'm s-sorry... I coul...n't... out... Batman's shadow. Forgi... me."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Bruce who? Bruce Wayne? What's this about the Bat's shadow? Aye bird-brain wake up right now."
Slosh, slosh
She shakes him and after hearing a funny noise realises he really was dying. He had a medium gash on his forehead over his right eye, either broke or dislocated his left shoulder, had two deep gashes on his right side, a piece of wood in his abdomen and just from a quick look over definitely had multiple major internal injuries and multiple gashes on his legs. She honestly had no idea how he was alive for so long.
"Hey, Robin. This isn't funny... wake up... POLARIS! Robin this isn't a joke." She carefully lays him down and begins screaming for Polaris. She runs from room to room screaming his name.
Literally busting down the front door she screams towards the barn. "POLARIS! GET THE HELL IN HERE RIGHT NOW! RIGHT THIS FUCKING MINUTE! I'M FUCKING SERIOUS!"
She screams her lungs out, tears now streaming down her face and Polaris teleports in front of her. "What baby?"
"Fucking save him!" She yells pointing at Robin and without any further questions he teleports to Robin and then both teleport out of sight.
Harley walks over to the staff and drops to her knees. "I'm sorry Bats. I didn't know. Honest." She whispers to no one as she hugs the staff.
"Well fuck." Jinx says, her legs dangling over the edge as she looks down the hole at Harley.
Starfire and the gang same time period
"Oh my, are you alright?" A woman asks. She had blue eyes and long navy blue hair. She was wearing a mini dress consisting of a black V-neck tank top with a white shirt under it, a very short pink mini skirt, and a red scarf. On her head, she had a white beanie with a pink Ball print on it. She also had gold hair clips holding up her hair in front.
"I'm peachy." Raven says as her vision clears and she begins dusting herself off. "Some friends of mine fell with me. Have you seen them?"
"Oh the green man, robot and orange girl? Yes, they are all doing okay but your girl friend is in very bad shape."
"What about the other male? Spikey hair, red and green uniform. Wears a cape." Raven asks noticing a description missing.
"There was no other male. The only reason you aren't with you friends was because your robot friend pushed you into the drop spot of a cotton plant near my house."
"That explains the white powder in the air."
"Plus, only four of you fell." The girl says with a slight bit of confusion.
"You're lying." Raven says walking around and testing herself to see if she's hurt anywhere.
"I'm afraid not. Want me to take you to your other friends?"
"Yeah. Thank you."
"You're welcome. I'm Dawn by the way."
"Raven. Nice to meet you."
Harley's later that evening
"Well? Is he okay?" Harley asks after pacing outside the door when Polaris steps out. He nervously scratches his head and makes sure to avoid eye contact.
"I don't know. To be honest I don't even know how he stood up. He had a nasty gash on his head, completely broke his left shoulder, all 26 bones in his chest are either fractured or broken, he has two massive gashes in his right side, a nasty puncture on his left side, the internal damage in his entire upper body is questionable at most, his left leg is shattered, and his right leg is peppered with slash wounds. He should have died from blood loss before hitting the ground."
"But can you save him?"
"I…"
"Can. You. Save. Him?"
"…Yes." Polaris says averting his eyes not knowing what to think of this new side of her.
"Thank you. Thank you, honey."
