Chapter 49 - Lone wolf of the western hills

Thud!

Thud!

Braham walked towards the struggling orc warlord mechanically. As soon as he arrived he grabbed it by the face and drove his thumbs into the eyes of the orc warlord.

Burn!

Boom!

An intense fire geyser rose to the clouds, surging wide and bright like a beacon. Even Sol and his team descending the hill saw this and frowned.

What remember of the Ark family that can boast of having that much firepower? By the way, amongst the heirs of this generation, Sol is meant to be the only Rü-Ɗestros amongst the heirs.

"Braham! It can only be him!" Aditi screamed out with her eyes glowing. There was this excitement in her eyes for someone who Sol did not know.

If this guy was as good as she makes it seem, why hasn't he noticed this person?

Braham of the first tribe…

Son of Yaka….

Descendant of the sun….

Random pieces of information flew about and Sol simply listened as they descended the hill. From everything he heard, they made it seem as if Braham was like some sort of messiah amongst them.

"How the hell do you think the sixth chieftain was killed?  Do you think the other families had what it takes? No! The first tribe chieftain got involved and invoked the power of Yaka. Even though Cerberus is considered the favorite of the ruler of the underworld. Yaka is a fucking deity on its own. They cannot be compared. That explains why the sixth chieftain lost" Someone said nonchalantly and Sol's eyes twitched.

Hearing these people speak about someone he respects so casually was infuriating, making him wonder why he even bothered with these people.

The team soon emerged from the forest and ahead of them was the stream between the hills. There other injured members of the Hallow mountain could be seen dealing with their wounds.

"Sol! It's Sol!" Many students cheered as they saw Sol emerge with his fluttering robes and a calm look on his face.

After performing great deeds time and time again, many considered him a powerful being amongst the new generation.

He looked around and with a heavy heart, he felt broken by the fact that there weren't even up to thirty present, just twenty-nine.

"Braham is still up there, I didn't notice until I was gone. He was going against an orc warlord. The battle will be concluded soon, he will be here to support us" Satori said to Cecile Vlad and Ranga Vlad who seemed to be discussing with him.

It was only after saying this, did they notice Sol and the busty lady beside him.

"A Basilisk…."

Everyone was on high alert, the only people who didn't react this way were Sol's group as they were already used to her presence.

"Make a move against my subordinate and I will every one of you here and now" Sol shot them an indifferent glance before looking toward the pillar of fire surging fiercely at the eastern Hill.

His words sent shivers down everyone's spine and they wanted to complain but Ranga stopped them. If the Basilisk was an enemy then would this many people survive?

Currently, Sol's group is the largest with about fifteen members. The others from the northern and eastern hills were only four and five respectively. Once again he saved more people.

"Stop brother! She is his ally, she has been helping him" Theresa stepped up but her actions could only attract an unimpressed glance from Sol.

"Where did you all come from?" Sol suddenly asked with squinted eyes but this time he wasn't looking toward the eastern Hill, instead, it was the western hill.

When his question was answered he realized no one has made it out of the western hill.

"Hmmmmm…. What could be there that was so powerful, everything there died at its hands…."  Sol frowned deeply as he considered something.

"A lone wolf resides there. In fact, it is the only beast on that hill…" Alicia suddenly spoke up drawing everyone's attention.

She has resided on this hill for over a decade now so it's normal she knew every major beast here.

"An omega? Then it should be weak!" Ranga argued with a frown. As a werewolf, he knew the system they work with. Outside the alpha, the rest are betas. An omega is a wolf without a pack, one that is abandoned.

They never live long.

"That's what hallow mountain wants you to know. A wolf without a pack is an omega but an omega who has survived the dangers of the wild is not a normal omega. They say loneliness is addictive. You will be shocked by the strength that comes from it. Many Omegas try to embark on this journey but only a few become Lone wolves but the few who achieve this are usually stronger than any foe at the same level" Alicia said with a deep frown leaving even Sol stunned.

For Alicia to have such a deep impression of this man then doesn't that mean he must be extremely capable?

"Who is stronger, you or the lone Wolf?" Sol suddenly asked.

"I can't say for sure. I'm from an alpha race so I am normally stronger than most beasts. Even if the lone wolf is stronger, then the gap won't be much" Alicia said with a deep frown.

Hearing this Sol laughed out loud and began walking toward the direction of the hill.

He would like to see this evil with his own eyes!

"Cecile… have everyone retreat to the eastern Hill…. Join hands with Braham and form a stronghold there… wait till the leaders find out something is wrong" Sol said and with a flap of his robes, he began walking toward the western hill without hesitation.

"Master…." Alicia fell to her knees and bowed deeply as she understood what was showing through Sol's head.

"Don't worry, there is no single force in this place that can win against me… support them and protect them…. This won't take long" Sol said with a cruel smile.
