[Third person POV]
It has been almost three months since he started this online dating thing, and every woman seem to not like him after meeting.
But the woman who have damaged him the most was the stupid Kaleah girl, especially after she got married to the Clayton Beckett.
"Good morning, Mimi Dawson back with the hot news, Clayton Beckett's wife, is set to debut in the art world along with her sister-in-law, in the next month's exhibit named The Becketts in art, is this why the gold digger wanted to marry poor Clayton, maybe."
"Ugh…." Ellen groans throwing the remote. He hated it, he hated how Kaleah went on to be a great person, he wanted her to crawl back to him.
See for all the women Ellen went out with Kaleah was the most exceptional of all, and he coveted her to be his.
"Can you not break things you brat, ugh… why did my son had to die to leave me with you," his mother scolds after hearing the breaking sound of the remote.
He could only glare at this woman, the first woman who preferred Archie Mule over him.
Even when he is already dead and rotten, he still holds onto the love Ellen would never get, the love of his parents.
"Mother, it was a mistake," he apologizes, the youngest child is always a parent's favorite, but he was an exception.
Since he was born, he was already lacking a lot from being as awesome of a son as his brother. And his parents made sure he knew that.
He didn't choose to be born, but all his parents did was make him feel like he did, like he did choose to be born just after a smart man like Archie.
He didn't want big and expensive birthdays like Archie, all he wanted was for them to not leave him in the house alone on his 4th birthday, it was lonely, it was empty, he just wanted to be loved.
He didn't choose to fail the test, he studied hard, believe him he did study, he studied on a hungry stomach as all the food was reserved for Archie, and even with all the studying he still failed.
Why did he have to be beat up for failing? When Archie failed, they told him it wasn't his fault, but when he failed, he was beaten up.
He hated his brother more, he hated that even when Ellen was the one who graduated high school as the valedictorian, it was Archie who got the credit for 'tutoring his little brother.'
He hated how even with Ellen was the one to create the biggest supermarket franchise making the Mule family a lot of money, Archie was still credited, his parent went around telling everyone how Archie was the successful business man.
He hated Archie more when he met Layla, Layla was Ellen's old classmate, she was his crush, she was supposed to marry him not Archie.
It hurt him even more, how Archie pretended like he didn't know that Ellen liked Layla, how dare he, how dare he humiliate him like this.
And with all the pent-up anger, with all the rage for all the times he was wronged, it all felt right, it felt right to look at the fool's choking face with a smile.
It felt so satisfying to look down at the fool reaching for his inhaler, it made him laugh, how the mighty was falling so pathetically. It seems after all the big talk he was a weak man, a man who died of asthma.
But even though dead he still attained the hearts of those Ellen loved, Layla still cried her eyes out at the funeral, their parents still spent a fortune for the fool's funeral.
Not even a single person mocked the fool who died of a stupid thing like an asthma attack, no one, it made Ellen even more mad.
But his heart seemed to have calmed down when his parents forced Layla to marry him, he thought maybe their hearts were changing maybe then they were loving him.
But his mother said, "you are Archie's love, and we will do everything to get everything that belongs to our son, even if you have to marry that failure," she said it with so much confidence.
He had married Layla for love, but she never loved him, she still cried for the dead fool that was his brother, it was a chore to get her to even sleep with him let alone sleep in the same bed.
He thought he finally attained the love he longed for when Archie was dead, but even in his grave Archie was still the glorious son to his parents.
Even stupid Kaleah liked Archie more than she liked him, that is why she went along and married some guy when it was Ellen who loved her first.
Was Clayton Beckett trying to be his dead brother? Was he the reincarnation of the annoying Archie? Kaleah saw Archie in Clayton, that is why she married him and not Ellen.
"What are you doing?" his mother shouts, he has been thinking of a way to get rid of this new problem, he wanted to possess Kaleah like he got Layla.
"Stop that mother, I am thinking," he groans rubbing his temples.
"You can think? You don't even have a brain," his mother says, "anyway, your wife wants money for shopping."
"But I gave her money yesterday," he says angrily.
"Well, she needs more," it was always the same, they could not love him, but they wanted what he gave to them.
"Ugh…... well tell her to visit my chambers tonight," he says with a smirk, he knew Layla, nor his mother would like that, since Layla wasn't supposed to sleep with anyone but 'Archie.'
"But Ellen. Layla doesn't…..."
"Don't play that trick on me mother, she cannot sleep with your dead son, and I am her husband I deserve to sleep with my wife, or neither you nor her will get the money."
But even when he was with his wife, the one he had believed to love, he still thought of Kaleah, a woman who chose someone and not him.
"Can you finish already," Layla says, "you really do not seem to even enjoy this."
"Well, you are not as tight as you used to, so I am not enjoying myself." He mocked, and like always he gave his wife the money after the deed, which is how they lived their lives.
With the two women always shopping and him having to give them money, his gambling addict father who never comes home unless he is short on money for his debts, his family was unfunctional.
"Well, I was thinking of beating you over the head and kidnapping you for the money," Layla says getting dressed, "I hate that I have to get involved in these disgusting actions for money, I feel like a pr*stitute."
"What did you say?" Ellen asked.
Layla rolls her eyes, "I said I feel like a pr*stitute," "no before that."
"That I was thinking of beating you over the head and kidnapping you for the money" she repeated herself, she was creeped out by the menacing smile that had adorn her husband's face.
"What now? I am not sleeping with you again, you don't even satisfy me," Layla mocked, "not the way Archie used to, he was passionate and...."
"Shut up, don't talk about that fool with me, you are my wife why do you fantasize about another man, a dead man at that," Ellen groaned, "get out."
Layla rolled her eyes before leaving the room., but she had left a man with a plan, a plan to get his hands on Kaleah Beckett, his future wife.
