Ray was currently in his new room.
Since he had become king, Isis' previous room was now his, and everything was already transferred.
Entering the room he sat on the desk and touched his forehead as he thought of the huge amount of things he had to do.
First he had to clean up the organizations under the palace, the start fortifying the palace.
After that he had to visit the academy to do something and the mercenary and adventurer guilds to do a cleanup and join them under a fake identity for easier access later.
Then he had to visit the East to have a chat with Valindra and deal with her problem somehow.
He also had to conduct the west Duke's funeral when he invited hi son to marriage.
And then he had to go south to name Barion and Tserina's child.
Among all these he also had to get points, clear quests, obtain special items, upgrade his skills, enhance his equipments, probably upgrade his physical stats and above all make a new battle style after first form and learn the actual footwork of resistance negation steps.
But all these were progressive goals that would go on long term.
He needed to set a few immediate objectives now that he became a king.
And that's what he did.
First, he would go to the dungeon to make Number 1 his slave, extract information and then somehow make him go back and join the organization to act as another spy.
Second, he would have to go on a date with Rachel the next day. He would definitely escape his duties somehow; he was too skilled in that.
Third, he needed to go to the Elven Empire to get a seed or sapling of the world tree. He definitely needed it if he wanted to make his palace his forte and achieve some other things in the future.
'After about a month, the Elven Empire will mysteriously agree to go under the Holy Twilight Empire, and I know I did something about it but…'
Once again he knew the event, but the details eluded him.
The memory was becoming a real problem now. He needed to somehow enter the dream world if he could even attempt to recover these sealed memories.

Remembering something he brought out an item from the quest window and looked at it.
[Potion of Seeing: You can see everything you want for once.]
This item could let him see the creation, past present and future of someone completely.
He really wanted to use it and look at the mirror, but it was useless.
It would make you see someone's future sure, but the moment you looked at it the future would change. It was type of uncertainty.
Last time he had used it on the philosopher's stone from the demon's kingdom but this time he had a different target.
'The world tree.'
He wanted to know how it came about and was born.
While all sorts of plans were running in his mind, he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in."
The door opened with his command and a woman came in.
Looking at her he figure of the woman, Ray shook his head.
'Thin, underfed and overworked.'
This was Claire, who had successfully infiltrated the palace, or that's what the organization thought.
He knew she had a tragic past, but he wouldn't help her right now.
"What did the organization ask you to do in the palace?"
Hearing the command, Claire kneeled down on one knee and started speaking.
"They told me…"
As Ray heard everything he nodded.
His prediction was correct.
They had asked her to enter the palace and slowly kill people to replace them from the organization.
"Here's what you will do. Keep in regular contact with them; I'll instruct you what to say whenever they contact you. For now if they ask if you have killed someone, agree and let the other person infiltrate, then hand him over to me without killing him."
"Yes, master."
"You can go."
Claire got up and left as emotionlessly as she had arrived.
As she went out, Ray stood up from his table, put on his emperor's cloak and walked out.
His target was the dungeon… Number 1 to be exact.
It had been a long time since he used a proper torture method on someone.

In the maid's quarter, Rachel was sitting beside her mother talking to her.
"And tomorrow we are supposed to go out together again!"
Watching her daughter's happy face when talking about the king, she couldn't help but hold a sorrowful expression.
"You know, your 'friend' is the king of the empire."
"So? He's still my friend?"
"Do you really think he will remember going out with you when there was such a huge event today and he has so much to do?"
The moment she heard 'huge event' her hands started shaking.
She had trained in combat but she hadn't been in a real battlefield. She had seen so much blood today that she didn't want to register it.
She wanted to forget about it and just focus on the happy things before her.
It was a naive way of thinking, sure, but for her that was how she overcame fear of things and moved on.
'Will he really forget?'
Rachel questioned herself but shook her head again.
"No, he never goes back on his word, and even if he can't go tomorrow, he will do it some other day!"
"Alright, I hop-cough…cough…"
"Mother? Are you all right?"
"Y-Yes, I'm alright…"
Rachel looked at her mother and patted her on the back. She had been sick recently and it seemed like she recover completely.
"But if you really go out tomorrow, I'll be cooking for the both of you. You need to bring something at least."
"But-"
"No buts."
As usual, Rachel couldn't refuse her mother and agreed.
Soon Rachel got to other work and her mother entered the royal kitchen to cook for them tomorrow.
While she was trying her best to make the food delicious so that both of them would finish it, she had a complicated and sorrowful expression.
No one saw it but while she was cooking, she brought out a vial of transparent liquid from her spatial ring and poured it in the food.
'I'm really sorry…'

As Ellaine walked into the Twilight empire with her guard, she looked around and saw that the guards were really restless.
"Do you know anything?"
She asked one of the guards near the senior priestess hall but got no proper response.
As she entered the hall, she could see a few seniors moving around and discussing things.
Without bothering them, she climbed the stairs and found the one that had given her the mission.
"Uh… why are things so restless around here ?"
The middle aged woman looked at Ellaine and sighed.
"The mission in the Elven Empire is facing a problem. Within moments of the junior priest in training's entrance there was a request for reinforcements."
"But why is that a problem?"
"It's not just asking for reinforcements, what he said has been worrying us>"
"What did he say?"
"Send as many people as possible. There is a terrifying monster here."
Ellaine didn't know why but the way this woman before her worded it, she felt goosebumps on her hands.
"And how was your mission?"
Remembering her mission, she described everything as she saw.
Ray's immensely dark soul, his intelligence, his aura and even his kindness.
After listening to her, the woman looked at the guard behind her and raised one eye.
The guard nodded her head in response.
It was her confirming Ellaine's story, but this little action didn't escape Ellaine.
"All right, your mission is done. We will promote you later."
"But priestess, I have something to say…"
"Speak."
"I think he should be spared. He was too kind to the people. His past must have…"
"Stop talking at once."
Elline was shocked to be silenced so sharply.
"You do not know what a soul that dark indicates. We will do what needs to be done. Do not instruct us about our job."
Suddenly Ellaine felt a slight pang of distrust and anger towards this woman and she wanted to help Ray.
She definitely wouldn't betray the empire and the definitely wouldn't help Ray, but the thought that would never even have crossed her mind did it this time unknowingly to her.
The suggestion Ray had used on her in the events hall unknown to anyone was finally starting to sprout.
