Chapter 2 - The Myth of Creation part II: The Celestial's Fall and the Rebirth of the Three

The end of the Fire had come swiftly, and madness of the Old Ones had ended as they slept for all eternity; within the world of dreams and dust the Goddess hid the thoughts of the Old Ones behind a great gate. The Goddess stood before the sealed forms of the old ones she then naming them according to their size and strength, the stars, planets, and moons. The goddess then sought to create new life by drawing upon the strength and forms of the old ones.

Upon the roots of the divine tree she created the infinite land from which the divine tree, Yaheidrazirr would grow. With a clap of her hands the Goddess created a great wind, spinning, revolving, and rotating the sleeping Old Ones. Around and round they moved in a divine danced. To the divine tree Yaheidrazirr the goddess with a deep breath caused a gentle breeze to shake the tree, and from the branches of the tree its children scattered throughout creation. Riding the breeze of her breath many seeds took root upon the cradled children of the Daeity of Water called the planets and moons. To the children of Fire called stars, she snapped her fingers and from their core a spark ignited their cradle, and a great light illuminated the darkness. Upon the divine tree with the divine blade in hand she cut into the tree and from its veins sprung forth holy sap that watered the worlds. With the worlds as their cradle, the light and heat of the stars, the holy sap, and the great wind, the sacred seeds began to germinate and grow. Upon those seedlings the Goddess wished for them to be the foundation for the birth of beings of either great life or splendid thought.

With her spirit and from her word she clothed the highest branches of the divine tree in her spirit, and through her soul created the upper worlds bathed in eternal light. Then the goddess stretched forth her great wings and with the flutter of her wings numerous feathers fell upon the world of light and where each fell a being of light was born. The goddess gave unto them the name celestials, and to them she gave the task to organize, protect, and record all that existed within creation. Then the Goddess took the divine halberd and sliced into her hand and let her blood spill upon the worlds. Where her blood had splattered, spirits of the land, sea, and air arose. To them the Goddess gave them the name Vaetyr, spirits of the world, keepers and custodians of its balance.

The Goddess then turned to the severed body of the Daeity of Fire and exercised her spirit and soul. From Fire's soul she split her into three forms, three spirits, and with her blood she marked them as lords to rule over the Vaetyr. The Goddess then cast the severed body of the Fire across the countless worlds, each buried in a deep, dark crevice never to see the light of day again. She then turned to Water to give him his punishment for killing his sister. The Goddess removed his spirit and upon his forehead engraved her mark and cast him out to wander the countless worlds for all eternity, and without a word he bowed before her, accepted his fate, and departed.

From the spirits of the Daeity of Water and Fire she created the celestials Mikha'el and Lucefi'el whose bond was like brother and sister; together their beauty and strength were like no other. Each was adorned in magnificent clothing and glittering jewels and gems. The two were crowned the highest celestials who would stand before the throne of the Goddess burning within the Goddess' light. The two ushered in all who came before the throne and before the Daeity of the Void.

As time passed and the Goddess wished to return to her throne to rest and observe creation. To watch over and care for her creation she brought forth from emptiness and the void great being, a new daeity, and to him she bestowed upon him the name Oblivilisk, he who would bind all things together. For an age, everything was at it should be the Daeity of the Void oversaw and maintained all of creation, the celestials cared for existence and the vaetyr maintained the worlds upon which they dwelled.

Soon a vileness took hold in Overworld, within the soul of Lucefi'el a rot took hold. With her brother, Lucefi'el stood before the gateway ushering in all before the presence of the of the Void. Within her heart and soul she began to think, I am the one that stands before the throne of mercy, I am the most beautiful of all celestials, I am the strongest of all the celestials, I alone have the strength, knowledge, and power to lead. I should be as the daeity who sits at the throne. I will be the one who sits at the throne, it is my destiny, the goddess commanded it. As time passed Lucefi'el's convictions and thoughts began to corrupt her soul. Mikha'el, who was with her, sensed the vileness that crept into her heart and warned her of her pride. Lucefi'el ignored her brother's pleas. Over time Lucefi-el's corruption began poison the Void, the eye and goal of her desire and pride.

Slowly the daeity Oblivilisk fell to her influence transforming from a wise and kind leader to a cruel and sadistic tyrant. As the Void fell to corruption, many of the celestials began to beseech Lucefi'el to take the place of the void. Those who turned to the fell celestial were too corrupted and ruined. As some turned to Lucefi'el many turned to Mikha'el to petition the Goddess for relief. Mikha'el, seeing the corruption of his sister attempted to dissuade her from her course, however his pleas fell on deaf ears. Unable to persuade Lucefi'el from her course he lifted his voice to the Goddess for help, their savior appeared in their midst. Seeking to remedy the situation the Goddess reached across the ages and periods of time and sought out three unique souls whose wisdom, courage, and strength would become mythical. For them she gave them strength to fight the now corrupted Daeity of Void. Then turning to Mikha'el and said to him, that should he strike his sister he will be punished for the sin of turning his blade against his sister and spilling her blood. To stop her madness he accepted his punishment, and so the Goddess gave Mikha'el the divine halberd to strike down his sister Lucefi'el.

The three reborn beings appeared before Oblivilisk whose mind had degraded to that of a beast. The three fought a vicious battle. Their fight dragged on for eons and ages with neither side gaining any edge. Their weapons slashed the daeity's indomitable body, and his fists smashed their bones. Their unbreakable wills dragged their broken bodies forward through the pains of battle. Their fight shook the world above and all of existence.

Their battle stood at a stalemate until the one of three ripped out one of the Void's eyes, and a seat of his power. Taking his power into his body the hero reborn was transformed into a daeity of Fate; the symbol of his authority became the needle and thread. With his newfound strength Fate bound the Void's arms and legs holding him fast. Seizing the moment the other two took the last of the Void's seats of power, his left and right eye. Taking their power into their bodies at that moment they both were transfigured into Daeities. One who would rule life; the symbol of his authority became the feather and talon. The other ruled over death, bearing bones and ash as his symbol of authority. With the strength of a daeity, Life tore the skin from Void's body and from it entrapped him in a bag of his own flesh. Death then drew the blood from Void's body and from it fashioned a seal. Lastly Fate bound Void in unbreakable cords. The three placed the defeated daeity at the center of all existences, binding him to the forces of all existence for all time.

Within the realm of the light another war waged, a battle, a rebellion against the established order took place between the higher celestials Mikha'el and Lucefi'el, and their armies. Having corrupted many Lucefi'el swore to take her place as a daeity. Standing before Lucefi'el, Mikha'el with the divine halberd in hand challenged the fallen celestial. The two sides clashed, and many fell in battle. The two higher celestials fought against one another. Lucefi'el's sword clashed with the divine halberd held by Mikha'el. Overpowering his sister Mikha'el ran the divine halberd through Lucefi'el. At that moment the divine halberd bound itself to Lucefi'el sealing her in the form of a pearl, pitch black in color.

Having achieved victory over his sister, Mikha'el presented the orb before the goddess. Taking the pearl in hand she cursed it and cast it down to the infernal realm below. As it struck the realm below it split the land, cleaving four domains into the infernal land, and formed a deep pit. Then with the Goddess's blessing she cut a portion of her hair and gave it to Mikha'el along with a sigil of the new daeities. Mikha'el and army then drove the corrupted celestials of Lucefi'el into the depths below. Around the pit Mikha'el placed countless swords and spears, and a great serpent to keep any and all out. With the hair of the goddess, a thread of fate, a feather of life, and bone of death Mikha'el weaved an unbreakable chain and seal to hold Lucefi'el and bind her followers to the infernal realm.

Mikha'el and his armies returned to the overworld, the Goddess then sealed pit creating a gate that none could physically pass; she then sealed the entrance behind the movements of the heavenly bodies and locked it with keys made of starlight. She then spread the keys to the gate among all the countless worlds so that they could never be found. The Goddess then took her from her spirit and from it forged the ten pillars dividing the overworld from worlds below and from her soul she forged ten other pillars dividing the pit from the worlds above.

Having struck a decisive victory over the Void and Lucefi'el, the Goddess then set the three daeities to oversee the three worlds. One to the world above, one to the lands below and one to the countless worlds between. The Goddess then punished Mikha'el for striking down his sister setting him and his followers with the task of protecting the countless worlds from the return of the Void and the revival of his sister and her followers. To assist the Daeities, the goddess shed four in six feathers and from each a new celestial was born, each burned with the radiant light of the Goddess. Upon once again establishing order and peace she ascended upon her throne to watch and observe creation.
