Everything around looked blurry when Caerellia opened her eyes as she was lying on solid ground.She rose up to observe her surroundings and realised she was in an abandoned building.When she stepped outside she noticed she was in a huge city as many cars passed by.Before she could take a step forward,her stomach grumbled in hunger.She felt someone poking her leg with a stick and saw a madman sating on the ground.He broke his sandwich in half and gave her the other half.She thanked, blessed and prayed over the food before eating.As she ate,she reflected on what had happened so far:The mysterious man,the death of her parents,and the destruction of her home. Caerellia took the paper out of her pocket and saw there was an address written on it.She knew it would take her to her relatives home and as she begun walking she wondered how they would be like.'There had to be a reason why mummy didn't want me to meet them' she thought and decided she was going to investigate her parents past.There was so much to learn, like the mysterious man,her relatives,and why her mother could glow.She remembered the man named Malacai was after her mother and her.'Was it because mother could glow like that and did he want me because I'm related to her?And if so, why,and what is so special about mummy and me?I have to investigate and also find out who lucas Aldrich is.'
After hours of walking without food and less water,she arrived at the address.Even though there was a huge gate in front she could see the house was huge.She wondered why her mother and father lived so poor yet her relatives were very rich.She laid on the ground since her body was exhausted from walking all day.Just then a long black limo stopped in front of the gate and the driver opened the door for the people inside.Four young children who looked around Caerellia's age stepped out and waved a person in limo as it drove away.One boy,three girls, and the boy and a girl looked like twins.They were talking when one girl among them saw Caerellia and told the others.They all approached her and said
"What is a disgusting mad girl doing in front of our gate?"one girl asked.
"Eww,take this pig out of here!"the boy complained.Before Caerellia could explain herself , they started beating and insulting her while another limo appeared.The owner of the the limo got out and looked to be around in his 50's yet his eyes were intense and his whole aura commanded authority.When he saw the children bullying Caerellia he charge towards them and scolded them
"What do you think you're doing.Bulling a innocent person for no reason!"he commanded.
"Grandpa!We missed you so-"one of the girls said in order to change the subject but her grandfather cut her shortly,
"Be quiet!It seems your parents have spoiled you guys to much.How can you bully an innocent girl.Go and apologise to her and as punishment no money for a month!"
"What!"they exclaimed and started making excuses and reasons why they needed their money to buy stuff like toys,dresses and so on.But seeing their grandfather face they shut their mouths and apologise to Caerellia at the same time giving her death glances.When they went inside their grandfather approached Caerellia and said,
"Sorry about my grandkids.It seems they have been been spoiled to much.I must have a word with their parents."He bent down and begun to clean some of the bruises on Caerellia's face,
"You look so similar to my daughter.A pity really,she runned away.",he said. Caerellia knew immediately he was her grandfather and so she gave him the letter.She watched his expression as it changed from normal to shock.He looked at her for a while then carried her into his arms.
"Are you really my granddaughter"he asked as tears filled his eyes.
"I am.But mummy and daddy are gone."she replied replied sadly almost crying.Her grandfather face saddened then he kissed her on the forehead
"I can't believe I failed to protect my own daughter.And didn't even meet her husband.But all the things I didn't do for Cesaria I would do it to you my dear."then he carried her towards the mansion.
The four grandkids who bullied Caerellia were furious but not supisrise when they saw their grandfather bring the girl to the house.He always does this,any homeless people he saw who were closed by he would bring them into the mansion,bathe,feed and clothed them then take them to an orphanage.They planned to beat up and do many pranks on her when she is taken to the guestroom but they were all speechless when their grandfather took her to one of the family rooms instead.After,he called everyone for a family meeting.The children sat next to parents,the twin's father was the only son of their grandfather and the two other girl's mother was the only daughter of their grandfather.
"Everyone I have some bad news"he said which caused the entire family to start worrying,most of all his wife Jane.She was surprised because as the mistress of the house she was meant to know everything and she wondered why her husband had not informed her.
"My last born Cesaria is dead."he said as he begun to sob while Jane and her children Stella and Michael smirked.
"Unfortunately she is dead and I never got to apologise to her for not being a good father."
"Oh father don't say that.You are a wonderful father and it was Cesaria's fault for running away and not giving you time to show her you are a good father."Stella said as she hugged her father with pride and joy written all over her face.
'How I hated you Cesaria but now you're gone forever you slut!Goodbye forever sister' she mocked in her head.The most happiness among the three was Jane who felt she couldn't be more satisfied.How she hated Cesaria's mother for stealing her husband away from her and even having a child with him.She did every thing she could to make Cesaria's life a living hell but it never seem to work.But she was pleased to know that little pain in the ass is finally dead along with her mother and it's the end of their generation.
"But I also have good news.When Cesaria runned away she fell in love and managed to give birth to her daughter before she died.Now her daughter is right here in the family rooms being tend to the maids as I speak."
