Her lips slowly inched towards his, and she felt a strong urge of pulling him closer, yet closer to her body, eliminating all gaps in between them.
June stirred up a little.
"What happened babe?" Subh asked gently.
June opened her eyes and realised it's almost towards the end of the cinema. The three friends were now running in the matador race, promising their freedom to each other. There was a slight chill in the air and June realised that a light blanket was pulled up on her body. She had slept on his one arm, while the other one was kept lightly on her stomach underneath the blanket.
"I slept!" June murmured, feeling a little apologetic.
"I know... How are you feeling now?" He asked gently.
June nodded her head a smiled.
"Better!... Hey, what happened to your lip?"June frowned her brows and ran her hand on the dark bruise on his lower lip.
"What happened?" She hushed again.
"You happened!"
...........................
It was around 9 pm when they entered the hotel room. There was an air of tensed sensation building in the air. June was sitting at the edge of the bed and Subh sat on a chair. The conversation kept dying out and they were just awkwardly trying so hard to not go where we both wanted to go.
It was dark outside, the sky had dimmed slowly while they were talking and they didn't even notice it. The room was now lit solely by the light shining from the busy street outside. The sounds from outside were muffled by the expensive window glass and it felt like they were alone in their own world. Their world was quiet and still, and tensed.
June couldn't see his face clearly in the dark, but it didn't matter because she knew how he was looking at her, watching her. No one made any attempt to switch on the light. June was struggling to breath calmly now, she could feel the same tension in her chest that she knew Subh had felt the same in his.
Suddenly June heard him mutter something under his breath.
As she asked him what he had said, Subh stood up and took a step over to the bed in front of her.
He inched his hand forward, placing it under her chin and on the small of her back, as he pulled her up to him.
"I was thanking my stars for tonight." He hushed.
