Their panting subsided into heavy breathing, then into calm inhalation and exhalation, moving together to the same beat.
After long moments lying quietly like that. Subh leaned over and put his mouth by her ear. She could feel the heat from his breath as he whispered, "I want you. Right now."
June sat up without a word and walked out of the booth. Subh looked on in confusion. June marched up to the waiter who was serving another customer, tapped him on the shoulder, and said clearly, "Check, please."
The waiter started to give her an ingratiating smile and opened his mouth, pointing at the current customer he was serving. June interrupted him, continuing calmly, "Sir, bring the check if you want to get paid. We are leaving. NOW."
.....
"It won't be safe to ride now." Subh pulled June by her arms.
"Let's take a cab and go to the salon."
"Why salon?" June asked.
"So, I wanna go to my hotel? I don't live with my mom."
June thought for a minute.
"Let's go to my apartment."
June rushed out of the bar, flushed and giddy, pulling Subh along with one hand as she hailed a cab with the other. For some reason he was composed and quiet than she was.
The cap pulled up. He held the door open for her, watching her with a half-smile as she tried to maneuver her way into the seat in her mid-thigh-length black dress. It was a little difficult to bend her way in without flashing half the street.
Not that I would really care at this point, June thought dreamily to herself as Subh settled himself in the seat beside her.
The driver glanced at them with a questioning look.
"Viman Nagar." June commanded.
She gave her address to the cab driver, who barely acknowledged her before immediately starting up a rather loud conversation into his speakerphone, all in some lilting language that June couldn't place.
Subh gently put his hand on her bare shoulder. "Hey," he said, "I think you should have an explanation." June looked back over at him. He took her in sadly, then looked away. "My parents are divorced... I came to India as my mom's health was not in place. But, I don't live in her house. I'm staying in Westin."
Something sank even deeper into the pit of June's stomach, as she recalled how her parents decided to get separated back when she was thirteen.
"Mommy issues!" June murmured. "My folks got divorced as well... So, I understand." She smiled at him.
"Besides, it's not that we're getting married." She rolled her eyes at him
"Pure carnal desires and urges to make love!"
"Yes, Ma'am, whatever you say," he agreed, grinning widely and giving her a lazy half-salute.
"I'm glad we got our story straight," June replied, before sticking her tongue out at him. "And yes, I will love to make love to you during whatever time you are here."
Suddenly a punch of heat roared up in her belly, filling her head with desire. They looked at each other without speaking for a long moment. Something hungry was burning in his eyes.
June licked her lips, speaking breathily, "Now how about you come here and kiss me before we..."
Suddenly his lips were pressed against hers. His hands wrapped around her back, pulling her tight against him, while leaning in so fast that she was pushed up firmly against the side door of the car. She slid her own hands up his back and up to his shoulders as their lips moved over and under each other, mouths opening and closing greedily. Her teeth gently tugged at his lower lip before opening wide to let in a brief glance of his tongue.
