Jin's POV...
Jin was currently in Andronomos, in a residence where he was planning for future battles. Right now, the soldiers, over 60,000 strong, were gathering and preparing for war since the emperor gave him an order to force both sides to surrender. He already knew the plan.
"Marshal, the army is ready to march," said one of the officers, and Jin stood up and nodded.
Outskirts of the city...
Jin saw the soldiers lined up, some already on board their vehicles, tanks lined up at the front with the elite infantry, and the rear with a small tank force stationed in the rear.
Jin was sitting in the command vehicle, observing a squadron of fighter jets fly overhead and looking at the monitors. The command vehicle Jin was inside was a Goliath fortress truck, with defensive armor only Alex could fully destroy, and it had a high price known only to gods. It was being driven by a 7-wheeler truck with thick wheels, functioning as a fortress, and given only to marshals, who might command either two or one legions.
"Sir, our drones caught their tracks, and currently, they're sieging a nearby fortress. Drone footage shows that the Night King is currently gathering his army, which is over 300,000 soldiers," said the soldier as he turned his monitor to the marshal.
"Alright, keep me updated on their tracks," he said, and the soldier nodded. Jin then walked to the front, where two other soldiers were driving, and sat on the middle seat behind them.
"Enjoying the view, sir?" the driver asked, to which Jin nodded. Jin stared out the window, observing flat green pastures. Over the hours, he saw some farmers, but they did not notice the massive military movement due to the activated cloaking device, a new product to be tested in the battlefield.
"How long till the cloak lasts?" Jin asked, while one hand covered his hand, and the other hand was picking something out of his pocket – a picture.
"Maximum 3 days, sir, but we have three more, so we can switch out during the march," the driver said, and Jin nodded while observing the photo. It was him and a pale white-haired woman, and behind them was a large dragon. Jin sighed and placed the photo back into one of his pockets.
A few hours later...
One of the soldiers was casually looking at the radar until multiple dots appeared, moving at the same speed, just a few kilometers from them.
"Sir, I spotted bogies on my radar just 7km from me, and it seems like they are moving in the same direction as us," he said, calling the attention of his superior. The officer came up to him and inspected the radar.
"All right, I will report to the Marshal," the officer said as he headed towards the front of the truck.
A few hours later...
"Marshal, the radar spotted multiple hostiles or non-hostiles, and currently, they have not spotted us. The soldiers did not see them due to a high hill separating us from them," said the officer.
Jin began to calculate and decided his next move.
"Let's distance ourselves from them. Either they're going to retake our territory or head towards here, acting as reinforcement. But for now, keep an eye on them," he said and turned to the driver.
"Tell the rest of the group to create an 8km distance from the army and signal the rest of the army also," he said, and the co-driver grabbed his radio and relayed his orders to the leading tank of the convoy.
A few days later...
Night time...
Jin walked out of the convoy after moving around for a whole week. He decided to find a valley close to the objective location and camp there for now. He looked at the 60k soldiers that were moving and lining up their tanks and trucks while the engineers constructed the camp, some building trenches, others setting up artillery, while Jin inspected the camp and surrounding area.
A few minutes later...
He looked over the surrounding plains; behind him was the camp, while in front was somewhat indescribable. He could see burned villages and even some dead bodies, so he decided to inspect further. As air gathered around his feet, he crouched down and aimed his body forward.
BOOM!
He dashed towards the site, and as he arrived, he looked around and saw some soldiers dead. They were not Valyrian soldiers, as he could tell from inspecting their equipment. They were the Brets or the Bretonnians, a famed kingdom for their agriculture and soldiers' quality.
WER WER WER!
Jin heard helicopter blades land nearby, and a squad of soldiers came out.
"Sir, we spotted a separate army of 20,000 marching towards the battlefield, and they are not Valyrian."
"Any news from the Firefly special forces?" he asked.
"We do, sir, and it seems like the Bretonnian kingdom declared war on the Night King and the Valyrian kingdom and sent an army of 40,000. We believe they split up," the officer said.
"Are they elites?"
"Yes, sir, made up of knights. We believe the king is leading one of them," he said.
"I see," Jin rubbed his chin and was in deep thought but was brought out by something and turned to the officer.
"Let's head back, and next morning we double the speed of the march," he said, and he went inside the transport helicopter and headed back to the camp.
Next day...
The camp was quickly disassembled with the help of magic, and the entire army began to march towards the objective, which was one day away on foot but a few hours due to the speed of their vehicles.
Four hours later...
Command truck...
"Sir, we have arrived, and it seems like both sides are already clashing," said the drone operator as he showed the live feed.
"Order the Forbidden cavalry to attack, and the rest of the army make camp. We will continue to watch the battle," he said. The communication officer relayed.
While Jin opened the separate feed along with the other officers as they watched the battle, the Forbidden cavalry was already positioned and waiting for orders.
In the Battlefield...
Both armies clashed as the Valyrian Kingdom soldiers equipped with Valyrian steel formed a shield wall, with archers in the rear firing and the heavier units using heavier armor.
"Charge, form swine wedge!" said the officer of the formation, shouting to a unit of soldiers using maces with short shields as they charged at the flanks.
"Fire!" said the artillery officer as they fired the catapults at the enemy horde, which were ice-skinned humans. They had sentence but felt no pain.
BOOM! BOOM!
Soon, the burning rocks smashed at the formation, creating a large explosion, and the fire spread akin to Greek fire, but they still fought since they felt no pain.
In the command room...
"So it's 3 to 1, right?" said the officer.
"Quite so. The Night Walkers have the edge in numbers, but the Valyrians have the advantage in experience," he said as the battle continued to rage on.
Jin closed his eyes for a while to take a nap.
To be continued...
