#Chapter59
/"Seventeen years,/" he whispered, /"seventeen years with lunatics, Lillian, seventeen years with mentally ill people./"
Lillian closed her eyes, a tear slipped down her cheek, she couldn’t begin to imagine Eric’s sufferings, it was so hard to imagine and she fears her soul might not hang on, but yet, he thrived on, trying to live through it with no idea of when he would be released or when he would be allowed to socialize with sane people. The story is definitely heart breaking. /"I can’t begin to imagine./"
/"Why would she do it? What is she hoping to achieve?/"
/"I don’t have answers, Shane, but we can get that when we see him, if you want to see him,/" she cupped his right cheek with her left hand, /"I will advise you to, you need to hear his own side of the story, you need to know why he would let himself to be subjected to such pain and survive for seventeen years. Please Shane, let’s go see him./"
