From the corner of my eye I noticed than Lexi struggled to stand straight. I am more than sure that if that wall was not there, she wouldn't be able to stand.
She pushed her fingers to rub her head but quickly dropped them as Kyle approached her.
I turned away and focused on her mother, if something were to happen at least Kyle would be there to help her.
/"Look all this information is great Cole but this is down to you now. We can hope that once the police get their hands on all this credible evidence that charges will be dropped, and your future won't be tarnished./" She explained to me. She placed her hand on mine. /"but you're not alone, we are all behind you okay/"
I felt slightly awkward, I hated showing weakness, which is why I hid for so long, but I knew that it was all out of love. These people cared for me and I had to be grateful for that.
/"so, what's next?/" I asked them.
