#Chapter24
I finally turned off the light when Cole's breathing started to get louder. I didn't expect him to fall asleep so easily, but he was out very quickly.
I'm not normally a light sleeper but in my mind, I knew that I wasn't alone tonight. I peeled my eyes open when I heard the whimpers of Cole from the sofa.
I switched on the bedside lamp and looked over.
Cole was unrecognisable as he was balled up on the sofa the blanket completely removed from his body as he glistened with sweat.
There wasn't an ounce of annoyance at Cole for waking me up at this moment he looked genuinely distressed and that was not something I enjoyed.
Yes, he can be an idiot, but this isn't something you can wish on anyone.
I walked over to him. I placed my hand on his shoulder hoping to calm him down.
