She cupped his face in her hands and looked him right in the eyes. /"James, love, if you don’t go to my room right now and hide in my closet, my mother will see you, and if she sees you, she will fucking lose her mind, and things will turn ugly. So, go hide, okay? Please./"
Seeing her so panicky, James was dumbfounded. He suddenly felt as though he was in a secret love affair or some kind of forbidden love relationship and was about to get caught. For some reason that even he couldn’t understand, his face flushed red, and his skin felt particularly scalding on Nyx’s cold hands. Maybe it was the fact that her face was so close to him, or maybe it was her soft voice... or the fact that she used that soft voice to call him /"love/" or those amber eyes...
