Maybe it was because what was happening was too much of a good show or because they were impressed by Nyx's parkour skills, but none of the people in the restaurant tried to step up and stop the madness. They all watched and some even brought out their phones to film the whole thing. Even Jane gave up trying to talk to talk to Nyx and James after a few tries.
Nyx would appreciate it if Jane tried to talk to James and not her. She was the one being chased! If she stopped running, she would be the one getting murdered! Okay, not exactly murdered, but either way, Nyx didn’t want to face her angry ex.
Persuade the damned man, you idiot!
Nyx ran to one of the waiters and did her best to hide behind him. That's when she noticed that James was way taller than the poor guy who was probably reconsidering his life choices. It looked like Nyx was trying to hide behind a tiny rock that could barely cover her toenail.
