Nyx walked to the door of the office and waited for her sister to walk out so she could close the door. The youth still hadn’t given up. She walked out of the office, but glued herself to Nyx, pleading nonstop. The latter ignored her, as if Carly wasn’t even there. Such a sight earned the two of them the odd looks of many of Nyx’s co-workers as the two of the walked out of the building.

/"PLEASE!/"
Nyx was about to snap at Carly when her eyes caught sight of a man resembling James. Her heart fell in her stomach as her steps halted. This made Carly bump into her, but Nyx’s whole attention was on Neil whose eyes met hers. Panic spread inside her chest, making it hard to breathe. She knew. She knew that whatever the reason was, Neil wasn’t here with good intentions.
