/"Anyway.../" Nyx cleared her throat. /"I need the job to move out of the house. Mom has been forcing me to go on blind dates, and it has been a nightmare. I have no idea where she found those men. It angers me every time I think about it./"
That woman... Walter snorted. /"Do you want to shoot some clay pigeon targets and imagine you're shooting those men?/" He stood up from the armchair before Nyx could even give him a proper answer.
Nyx gave the chess board a glance and then narrowed her eyes at her grandfather. /"Are you offering me this because you want to help my mental state or because I'm beating your ass in chess?/"
The old wrinkled face of Walter flushed bright red, his pale blue eyes looking away in embarrassment. /"What nonsense are you talking about?/"
