A short while earlier, in a different battlefield, two figures were staring at each other.
One was a high elf, robed in her usual green dress, with roots reaching to the heavens squirming around her. The other was the very definition of a devil, with red eyes and exuding the aura of pure evil.
"You think you alone can hold me back?!" The demon, Samael, cursed as his bat-like wings spread wide.
Althea merely smiled, and with a confident gaze, firm and filled with unrelenting faith, she countered. "Why can't I?"
That exchange marked the start of their battle.
The first to move was Samael, taking advantage of his strength raised after reaching the demigod level, he flew to where Althea was in a straight line. He no longer had a sword, but the long, sharp nails on his fingers were more than enough as weapons.
"DIE!"
