"Hmm?"
Ein, who had just finished his coffee, tilted his head in wonder as he watched the army.
For some reason, they seemed to be moving rapidly under the cover of the night, trying to complete their encirclement in a rush. Although, given the distance from one end to another, it would take them half a day to do so.
"What? Why are they moving?" Ein muttered, half in jest. "They'd be dead tired if they rushed the encirclement."
Although Ein didn't have any intention of fighting the enemy head-on, he was still worried about the implications of this sudden change in their actions.
"Lilith, what do you think?"
As he asked, Lilith swallowed the last bite of her apple pie before answering.
"I think the church has something to do with this. Knowing Lucifer, he might have discovered something and decided to hasten their schedule."
Ein squinted his eyes after hearing this: "So you mean, by tomorrow, they'll begin their offensive?"
