"Lousy? You only won last time because I wasn't fully prepared!" Gawain shouted in anger. "This time, you shall die!"
"When you die on the battlefield, would you spout such excuses to your enemy?" Ein snorted as he commented sarcastically while swinging his sword forward.
Ein took a step ahead and swung his sword down. Gawain was puzzled by this action at first, as the sword couldn't reach him from there. However, by pure instinct, he moved to the side and evaded something invisible that flew past.
His right shoulder pad flew out of its place, far from reach. He didn't see what happened, only the result. 'What a long range! Keeping my distance isn't gonna help!'
Gawain dashed forward with a thrust, aiming for Ein's chest. Ein pulled his sword up and deflected the thrust before quickly adding a slash to Gawain's other shoulder.
This time, however, Gawain was able to block it perfectly.
