Not only the battlefield of the dragonkin and elves, but even the other matchups were forced to join hands and run to the center. The problem was that some groups were so tired from their battle that they slowed down.
For example, Melina and the two Mermaids were so slow that they were caught up by the swarm of monsters. They weren't fast on their feet in the first place, after all. With the addition of eliminating the ones that attacked them, the three were only able to take one step forward every few seconds.
Their situation wasn't the worst, but it wasn't great either. One of those better off were Nayta and Emily, as although their bodies were full of virtual wounds and scratches, releasing sparkles of light as they moved, their speed wasn't that slow. At most, they were only slightly slower than the approaching monsters.
