The evening sky was dimming away as the two women sat together in complete silence.
Vandita was crying... her silent sobs had filled the room with an air of melancholy.
Kshitija sat beside her quietly.
"A Keep? A half women?" Vandita's voice choked. "What are you even talking about Kshitija?"
Vandita's tear-stricken eyes failed to see the subtle smirk that played on her friend's lips.
"Vandita, you are my best friend, the sister I never had. All I'm saying is Awnirudh Babu is not doing justice to you." She paused. "Think about this. He had asked you to revoke the marriage, hadn't he? Till date, has he ever mention about re-marriage? Has he ever tried to pursue you to remarry him legally?" Kshitija planted her points in her thoughts tenderly.
Vandita remained quite, her eyes pouring continuously, as her mind still mulling at the words she had heard.
'A half woman!' the words echoed in her ears.
