Jing Yao avoided his gaze, not daring to look at Liang Xun at all, nor was she willing to continue walking with him.
Liang Xun retreated and stood in front of Jing Yao. He lowered his head and looked at her with a gentle gaze. His voice was a little coaxing. "Yaoyao, are you going back on your word?"
Jing Yao looked up at Liang Xun and took a deep breath. "No, let's go."
Her expression of facing death calmly made Liang Xun want to laugh, but Liang Xun held it in. If he laughed now, all his efforts would be in vain.
Liang Xun only turned on the dim yellow bedside lamp. Jing Yao had been secretly controlling her breathing, but she couldn't hide her nervousness.
Liang Xun sighed. "Alright, go wash up. I was just teasing you."
Jing Yao looked up in surprise. Liang Xun did not look like he was teasing her at all.
