they were demons, though we prefer to call them seeds. These men nearly led you to your deaths by wasting your time, we removed them in hopes it wouldn't happen but that proved futile. Even after taking-action, you still fought amongst yourselves and wasted valuable time. Now your all doomed to be devoured by the chimera, and your numbers have dwindled so there's no hope if sheer number overpowering them anymore. Truly you are doomed"
The kings started to hover above the pillars
"If any of you survive this ordeal we do hope you learn from it. Good bye for now, the chimera approach and we wasted enough time as it is"
Maryam runs after them and climbs a pillar screaming
"Wait! Please! Don't leave us… I'm begging you"
As she begged and cried so did the others. All of them screaming hep and begging to be saved. That is when finally, the silent Edward, one of the kings of men who had said nothing up till now… speaks. With a commanding voice, presence and aura he says
"ENOUGH!"
All who hear it suddenly fall to their knees and lower their heads. They dear not lift their heads to gaze upon him, the pressure alone was so intense that if they even tried their necks would break. Their hearts and spirits were to weak for them to even think of moving so there they stayed like subjects in front of a king.
"You all are nothing but animals and beasts. You planned to kill us and steal from us and yet you so boldly demand our help? How infuriating. I see now why we were given the name kings of men. Although all of us here are men, its clear we are the better man. Make peace with your deaths knowing that this will be your last stand and final resting place"
"A fitting end to them. Don't you think?" Cayafaz cheerfully asked Edward
Maryam grabs on to Edwards shoe and kissed it as she begged
"Please, even if you refuse to save these unsalvageable souls, at least save me. I guarantee you my life is worth saving. I… I can do whatever you want or even help you fight, and… and if that doesn't satisfy you then maybe my body can. I'm sure I can at least bring you physical pleasure"
She said as she began to boast, feeling confident in her body and her ability to seduce a man. She began to open up the buttons of her shirt slowly revealing to him her cleavage. Edward couldn't have felt any less interested in her and it was clear by his signs of visible disgust. But it didn't stop her and she went on to say
"I'm sure you have needs in that aspect that I can take care of. These girls don't look like much. I'm sure the both of them are still virgins. In fact, they both look like it. Which means they are lacking in the experience I have. If you save me ill make sure you never go a day unsatisfied or bored, ill always be your source of essential vitamin S"
Isabel and Maya, who are clearly filled with anger and disgust, ready themselves to put an end to her life. Isabel's fingers are set on both triggers and her guns are pointed to Maryam's head while Maya spins her axe in one spot gathering momentum for what looks like a single killer hit. Just when the girls are revving up Edward lifts his arm and prevents them from hitting her. He turns his head to the girls and says
"Wait, just watch" the girls decide to lower their arms
"I'll admit, you have a strong desire to live and its only rivaled by your ability to convince a man. So, I've decided ill let you join us"
She screams for joy but the other survivors boo her and shame her, calling her a slut
"Oh, you pigs should boo yourselves for lacking the desire to survive! I'm going to live no matter what it takes! Even if I have to be this boy's toy till I get out of here"
"You didn't let me finish. You can join us under one condition"
"Wait what? What condition is that" Edward points his finger behind her just a bit over the horizon. A horde of black creatures like a swarm are seen approaching.
"Wha-What are those?"
"They are the chimera. And they were drawn here by the smell of fresh blood as you should already know. Now, ill only let you join us if you manage to survive the attack of the horde of chimera headed this way. If you do that you prove that you can pull your own weight on the team"
Maryam seeing the horde is sent into a panic and begins to call Edwards honor and his fairness into question. But he says to her
"I assure you, I would never ask someone to do something that not one of us in this group was capable of. In fact, a demonstration is in order. Ethan! Could you show her what I mean?"
"With pleasure bro" Ethan flies to what would soon be the frontlines in the war between chimera and humans. He quick draws both his guns and does a dramatic pose "I call this move, charge shot!"
His body starts to glow with a bright blue aura and the aura spreads into the guns. He presses the trigger but they don't instantly fire rather they hold in place until he says
"Chase them down, coyote" and fires. The shot is like a wave of heat that eats into the ground, as it charges forward it burns into the ground, never stopping and devouring all in its way until finally the flame goes out and Ethan releases the trigger
Thomas who was among the crowd seeing this was flabbergasted "Wa-…What was that just now?"
Jeremiah standing next to him in just as much shock replied "That…that was the power of the kings of men"
"As you can see! Everyone here in the kings of men, is capable of taking out chimera with ease. So, anyone who can beat them is clearly a valuable asset and is welcome to join the team, but…only if you can survive"
Things already looked grim for Maryam but it only got worse when Edward told her
"Ah, yes. Maryam, for dissing my girls, your going to have to take a handicap as punishment"
"What?" To slow to catch up Maryam didn't understand she was being punished. Edward turned his head to the girls and said "Do it"
In that moment, like a bolt of lightning, Maya appeared before Maryam and scraped her right eye with her axe. After that Maryam covered her eye with both hands as she howled in pain but it didn't end there. Once Maya withdrew Isabel proceeded to put a bullet in her left thigh. She fell on her knees instantly, nearly falling off the pillar. Meanwhile the chimera that Ethan attacked had become aggressive and more agitated because of his attack. Their pack leader, a majestic but horrific creature with the body of a wolf with fur as black as night, a lion's head made of stone with no neck attached to the body with the head floating in place, wings that were made of bones and the rib cages of different animals and humans, and finally its eyes shut as though permanent.
This leader of the pack, let out a massive roar which sent the chimera chasing after the survivors at full throttle. The survivors went into panic and started to take up arms to defend themselves, others decided to run, while some fought amongst themselves saying that
"The only reason the king of men where able to create that level of destruction was with the suits and they should have stolen it"
Others simply let themselves be devoured by the chimera as they felt no point in fighting and saw no hope in their case. Maryam was still howling in pain upon her pedestal not knowing what was going on around her, not knowing people were dying.
Jeremiah was the first to die. In his attempt to stop the chimera, he picked up a rocket launcher he saw nearby and tried to fire it, but by the time he could pull the trigger a chimera had already pounced on him and bitten him in half, it was at this moment that the rocket launcher went off inside the chimera blowing its top half to bits with jeremiahs top half inside the creature.
The next to die was Thomas who watched Thomas die on his knees. He had already fallen into a terrible state of despair but did not know how bad it was until he watched Jeremiah die. After he saw this he took his knife and shoved it through his throat. He pushed the knife with so much force it went through his spine cleanly and came out the other end. Despite him being nearly dead, choking on his blood, and the knife in his neck, it did not stop the chimera from eating him and though he could not scream, it did not stop him from feeling the pain before he died
Everyone else died similar and relatable deaths, but the worst of all and the final death was that of Maryam. She was still on her pedestal getting used to not seeing through her right eye and trying to figure out how she would walk and fight with her left leg. She hadn't even realized that some men and women were climbing the pedestal in an attempt to get her. That's just how far from the battle her mind was
Maryam was just starting to cope with her right eye and decided to try and stand when someone jumped from a pillar close to hers and knocked her off balance with a superman punch. She started to spin on the spot she was dancing but seemed to be doing fine. Until one of the survivors climbing the pillar grabbed her leg and forcefully dragged her off the pillar, flinging her to the floor. The pain from falling and the height she had fallen caused her body to go numb after she hit the ground. Barely able to see and incapable to move all she could hear were the angry voices of the survivors she had insulted and tried to ditch using her body as an asset. The large survivor who pulled her down from the pillar approached her yelling
"You slut! You whore! So were pigs huh!" He said as he stood over her and punched her face "Were just a bunch of animals not worth saving huh?"
He sat on her abdomen causing her to immediately gasp for air, but as she lifted her head up he gave her hit after hit after hit after hit to her face repeatedly. Not giving her any breathing room and sometimes even hitting her face so hard that her skull bashed against and bounced off the ground. At first no one had complained or tried to stop him because they all felt she deserved a little punishment, but some people started to feel uncomfortable with the way he treated her and the slurs he used while he beat her. Especially the women.
One of them tried to approach him but he shoved her back and called her a whore. The woman got up and went at him again and this time backed by some other men and women they managed to push him off.
"That's enough! Can't you see she's not even reacting anymore? She probably stopped feeling anything a while ago. If she's alive there's nothing left to do to her, she's broken. If we don't worry about ourselves were going to get killed. Heck! Most of the people at the frontlines are already dead and that means the chimera would be headed this way"
"I don't give a fuck! Were screwed enough as It is. Running or fighting makes no difference cause were still gonna die! So" He looks at her body in disgust and licks his fat lips "If I'm gonna die, I at least wanna have my fill"
He walks back to her body and unzips his shorts. The woman who tried to talk to him doesn't even bother
"Your disgusting! You really are a pig" She spits on the ground next to him and tells the other survivors to come with her. They grab some weapons and run further away from the battlefield. Meanwhile
The man who unzipped his pants brings out his penis and urinates on her body. He then goes ahead to ask her
"Are you alive?"
At first, he gets no response but then he kicks her in the side and she coughs, in anger seeing how she's alive and dint answer he kicks her again and says
"Answer me when I talk to you bitch! And call me master! You whore! Slut! Whore!"
He says as he repeatedly kicks her in the side. She answers him and finally the kicking stops. He gets down and spreads her legs open. "Seems you were willing to give your all to that boy earlier on, now your going to give it to a man" he then tears off her clothes and pulls off her underwear. He then forces himself inside her while still punching her face yelling
"tell me I'm perfect! That I'm the best you've ever had! Tell me you love me! tell me you're my slut whore! And your going to be my slut for life!" Like a robot with no free will Maryam repeats the words over and over and over. After he finishes he proceeds to open her mouth so he can put himself inside her but then he hears a stern growl above him. he looks up and to his surprise is a chimera. He falls on his naked bum and starts to crawl back but there are chimera behind him there too.
"No! no, no. you all were suppose to be feasting on the guys on the frontlines. You can't be done already" he crawls into a corner as the chimera surround him "Please no! I…I can't die like this? No…please!" One of the Chimera, approaches him from and gets closer to the spot in-between his leg. It licks both sides of his laps, licks his face then growls. The chimera then steps back
"Yes, yes please. Thank you, thank you"
As he starts to pointlessly thank the chimera. He notices that Maryam's expressionless and lifeless body from a moment ago now has a smile. When he sees this, the chimera that stepped back and all the chimera around him pounce on him at the same time and start to devour him. He screams in pain for a period that doesn't seem to end and his death takes longer since he has more meat on his bones. Maryam laughs as she watches her rapist get eaten from a distance. Chimera start to slowly approach her body and surround her as well. Then Maryam's laugh turns to a cackle and tears start to stream down her face. The chimera, jump at her and fight for the parts of her body they rip off her. With both her eyes filled with blood she continues to laugh as she cries tears of blood until finally she shuts up as her head is eaten off
