THE NEXT DAY
Madeline stood in front of a big hall as she looked around the room to see if she would recognize anyone she knew like her best friend or her sister.
"Are you looking for someone" Gianna asked as her beautiful face apeared in front of Madeline asked in a curious voice as she looked towards the direction Madeline was looking at but could not figure who exactly she was looking for.
"Yes I am looking around for my best friend or sister, I don't know if they are even here" Madeline replied as she took one last glance around the room before turning to face Gianna.
"Then as far as they work in the palace as slave you would surely meet them here as this is the only place slaves are fed at a specific time, so if you miss your meal you will have to stay hungry till the next time for eating" Gianna said as she dragged Madeline into the room as looked for an empty table.
After finding one she dragged Madeline towards the empty table as they sat down on the table "then I'm sure I will see my sister here but I'm not sure about my best friend" Madeline said as noticed a shadow that looked very similar to her best friend's she tried taking a closer look at the person but realized the person was only so she turned and face Gianna.
"Why don't I go and get our food while you wait here for me" Gianna said as she stood up, "ok but come back quickly as I don't like staying in an unfamiliar place alone" Madeline said, "ok" she said as she walked away.
Madeline sat alone on her chair as she looked around to see if she would see anyone familiar. "Madeline..." a suspicious voice was heard coming from her back so. she turned around only a very familiar yet distant face as she sat down dumbstruck.
"OMG it's actually you, Madeline what are you doing here.
"Are you ok.
"How did you survive in a place like this.
What about aunty and uncle and your siblings are also here" Kiara bombarded her with questions as she was very emotional she immediately hugged Madeline.
"You don't know worried I felt after those vampires had attacked our kingdom, I was mostly worried about you as I knew very well you couldn't take care of yourself so how would you escape from their clutches" she said as cried in Madeline's arms as she couldn't control herself.
"I'm fine why are you still crying" Madeline said as she gently patted her back to calm down, she slowly calm down as she cleaned the tears with the back of hands.
"My mother and siblings are good too but my father..." her words trailed as she remembered that sad incident that changed everything around her life.
"What happened to your father " Kiara said with a concerned voice as she looked at Madeline.
"He was killed by those evil creatures, they killed him in cold blood without mercy" Madeline said as she tried to stabilize her emotions as it was the first time she was telling someone about that incident so she was finding it hard to stabilize her emotions.
"It's okay you don't have to keep it inside you can talk to me anytime. Kiara said but was interrupted by a voice.
"Ehh I have brought the Food" Gianna said as she walked towards the table only to realize that they was a young girl standing in front of Madeline.
"Who is this? Gianna asked as she walked closer to them to have a clearer view of the person standing beside Madeline.
"She's my best friend" Madeline replied.
