Chapter 66 - Ch 0.65 (2)

After ten days of intense gaming, we finally arrived at Yi Hai, sixty days later.

What intense game am I talking about, or did I like it?

I can't tell whether I liked it, or how things turned out like this, but I remember enough to relay the basic crux from A to Z.

On Jia Zi, I was sitting in my seat and the joke from those friends had finally calmed down. Their teasing had put a bit of joy inside my heart, but their language lowered my view of them.

And I didn't think it was a big deal for me to think of them in a negative sense, since my opinion of them would not harm them in any way. In fact, this world is made for nothing but solely for fun and pleasure while there is no accountability. So go ahead - masturbate, do Drugs and fuck off by killing yourself.

Though I have personally decided to remain calm and rational in this life (especially after the encounter with NígulasI Qiuchill), so, one day, when I conquer and butcher everything, I will end my cycle of suffering and be beyond it. I simply don't want to be empty, regretful, and destroyed again.

"It's time to introduce you all to the man who has entertained us for millennia. He has ruled over us and given us pleasure." A person wearing a white robe with a white mask over his face unexpectedly appeared on the stage, and a bright light was cast upon him. "Please welcome the hero...."

He pointed to blank air. There was nobody and I could only rub my eyes in response and wait for what he was playing. I'm quite used to these plays from my past life.

"What? don't you see anyone?" He started continuing seeing everyone confused. "It is you all. You're all the real heroes because of whom this cruise has been made possible."

"hoooooo"

*CLAP* *CLAP*

The audience starts whistling and clapping.

This is also something worth getting excited over, I guess, for some people.

"But especially when you've filled our pockets and ship with thousands of gold coins."

The masked man spoke and laughed, and hearing this, all the people on the ship laughed along with him.

"If you hadn't paid such a large amount, then I wouldn't be paid enough money to be your host, and I definitely wouldn't have come."

Again, the audience laughed, and I believe other than me and Hui Ying, everybody else found it amusing. I know Acantha, Bing Xuemei, and others are also there, but their presence doesn't count much.

This cycle continued for a long time until the host approached an old woman and asked, "What do you think about lying?"

"Lyyyinnnnggggg... I mean..." she stuttered, caught off guard by the sudden question. Finally, she said, "Ummm, I think it's a...sin."

"Then would you say it's a sin if it is done to save the innocence of a child, the safety of others, or to save your own life?"

"I guess...."

"Then are you saying it's not a sin? Thou shalt not lie under any circumstances, shouldn't you?"

"I don't know... but we should still try our best to be honest."

This time, many in the audience fell into deep thought, pondering the question and searching for a satisfactory answer.

Amidst this an answer came to mind—something my brother taught me in a past life: "Lying is an art, and you do not possess it. Lie and be humble, lie and smile, lie and ignore, lie not and die. LIE, LIE, LIE, and socialize with a humble smile."

So, if lying brings rewards, why not do it? After all, the world is a stage, and all the men and women are merely players. They have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time needs to play many parts. Throughout my life, I've had to lie so much, especially in my later years. It's not something to blame.

Of course, one shouldn't lie foolishly.

It took me some time to cultivate this skill. For instance, when I was younger and naiver, I once said sorry and lied about why I was late for my internship. I claimed, "I was cooking food." When asked, "When did you wake up?" I shamelessly answered, "At 6:00 o'clock." In reality, I had woken up at 9:00.

And then He unexpectedly called over someone around 18 years old, recounted my excuse for being late, and laughed. "Are we some sort of women that we need to take 3 hours for cooking?" he said. "The ladies like decorating the food, but we men? Do we bother with that? We just care about eating."

Interestingly Joker was the remark he gave me and I'm thankful to him because while I killed him later on, I realized one thing due to him.

When you lie, think about all the possible questions that may be asked and prepare for them. Mix some truth with your lie. Lie so much that your lie becomes the truth even for you. And there are also different versions of the truth, so keep patience and stay silent, then work your magic.

And remember one lesson- Lie should be tried out after gauging the ability of the target.

Even a stupid lie could work if tried on the right target and the best of lie may fail if you chose the wrong target. Gauge their ability and then try it out.

Anyway, the point is lying is not a sin, and thus nothing wrong with it.

At least for yourself.

"Did everyone come up with an answer? If so, let's see how confident you are in your response."

'Is this what he's aiming for? That's quite cute,' I thought to myself. Before he could say anything, I raised my hand and interrupted him, "How about we play a game?"

The host got a bit surprised, but after pretending to give it some thought, he laughed. "That's quite interesting," he said and asked me "Why don't you put down your veil and show us your face? It makes us feel doubtful of you."

"You mean I give off a vibe of a liar? Well, I am," I said with a grin.

Hearing this masked man laughed and then, raising his voice, announced, "Then everyone here, let's play a game as the gentleman suggested!"

"Game? I'm in," said a girl enthusiastically.

"I don't like playing games," grumbled a lazy cat-tribe demi-human.

"Amitabha! A game should teach values, but this one seems to be based on lies," remarked a bald monk and I could only wonder: 'How the fuck did you reach that conclusion?'

Anyhow Their voices carried through the room, mostly because they were the closest to me, apart from Mr. S, who seemed perpetually full of himself now for some reason.

"Now, now, I want everyone to be silent, or you might lose the game before it even starts," the masked man announced, his voice commanding immediate attention.

But I ignored his later bitching and looked at my Hui Ying and damn: She's so easy on the eye, made me forget how to blink. Why are you so strong? The urge to tear her clothes off takes over me and I want to throw her over the Abyss where I'm sure she deliberately pretended to be weak, exposing me to the risk.

But I regained my composure, realizing I had stared at her too long, she is stronger, she can know anything and also remembering the fact that the game was possibly about testing my skill at lying. FOCUS JI YAN FOCUS, YOU NEED TO BE MINDFUL.

...

After the masked man finally seemed to come to a point, I listened intently as he continued, "I had something else in mind, but now I have forgotten it. Given the suggestion made by one of the gentlemen, I have finally thought of a good game that might interest you all. And no, no, don't worry, the preparations are completed."

"Wait, so all that time you were spouting jokes just now was so you could think of a game and complete the preparations?" A Dog tribe demi-human screamed in frustration, his voice filled with laziness.

'You planned to make us play a game beforehand and you're still pretending to this extent,' I thought to myself.

But as soon as the thought crossed my mind, he looked at me and shook his head. I was truly speechless.

"Now the game is...
