Chapter 60 - Ch 0.60

Princess Augustine Nobleheart looks toward the wall, hearing the loud sound emanating from that side but before she can process anything, another explosion occurs.

"Boom!"

"DON'T...with me"

The bright light begins to swell, pulsating from a Hui Ying sword that surpasses the wisdom of eons.

At this moment, the world is being distorted—

Princess Augustine Nobleheart instinctively rises from atop me, remarking, "Too slow!"

Yet, in comparison, the figure of Hui Ying is even faster, swooping in.

Simultaneously, a voice reverberated through the air with a rippling atmosphere, its sharpness piercing through the silence but unlike a blade, it was like cracking the space "CRACK!" it rang out, echoing with an otherworldly intensity.

At that moment, as Hui Ying's blade slashed through the Space, a swelling bright light erupted and then vanished in the ripples of the space.

Despite Augustine's potential attempts at resistance, her efforts seemed futile as the force of the impact blew away any defensive measures that she had perhaps erected for defeating me and doing something to the room that resulted in Bing Xuemei's disappearance from the scene, leaving the room exposed to the raw power unleashed within.

I quickly distance myself and delicately place my torn clothes in my Spatial ring, replacing them with some daggers to protect myself from their forces.

"I don't know how you did it and why you did it, but do you have any idea what has happened to the city? I should have listened to my divine husband rather than letting you roam this realm" Hui Ying screams, anger evident in her eyes.

"You bitch I have had enough of you. I won't forgive you for disturbing my time with Love." Aug repeats and I take relief given I got scared that Hui Ying will make her remember that I made a request to eradicate her realm from existence.

"Love?" She repeats and soon notices me behind her. I think to myself, "Fuck, I was so close to her."

"Husband, there you are. I was so worried about you... I thought something had happened to you," she says, her tone shifting from angry to sentimental in an instant.

Her face and expression really made me forget how she strangled me before, and I might have been deceived if not for my keen sense of pettiness but interestingly, despite this, my mouth moves involuntarily and I long for forgiveness from myself seeing her worry toward me and I move toward her and ask "What happened? Tell me. we will deal with it."

"You don't have to worry," Hui Ying says and assures me and I give the subtle signal to Augustine to make her move but she misunderstands and disappears from the scene, and I notice the blood fog calming down, perhaps indicating her attempt to correct her mistake.

"She ran away?" I say to myself loudly.

Hui Ying looks behind hearing me and finally realizes that the blood fog is fading away, and Augustine has left the scene.

Hui Ying instinctively assumes a stance to pursue Augustine, but I embrace her from behind and plead with her to stay.

The system displays the reward.

I ignore it for the time being because now I have to deal with this woman whom I'm hugging.

She remains still, which surprises me, as I do not have the strength to stop her.

I loosen my grip, seeing this, and make her face me eye to eye.

"Tell me. What happened to turn my always energetic, happy Hui Ying into someone so sorrowful? It hurts me to see you angry and tense... Tell me," I ask empathetically, my earnest request touching her soul and connecting with her, coercing her to spill everything.

'So, this is what happened...Man, I just love her so much.'

'I should cultivate in peace, provide salvation to the needy, and forever spend my life together with her.'

Hmm, that's quite a disgusting thought.

I can't just forget my dreams due to these hyper-obsessive women.

I extend my hand toward her and give her some flowers that I take out from Spatial Ring, and she just looks at me but is in deep thought possibly about all the lives that have been lost.

Look at her. She feels sad for the people she never met. If they were so precious, then surely any of the Brahma or Deity would have intervened rather than living up in the Highest Heaven. Forget that, even our Almighty heavenly Father Allah-Kabir would have intervened.

These people were simply collateral in the grand scheme of things or I can just term them as fools.

I can't even feel sorry for them because they are like dogs that go to that shop of a butcher, who throws bones on them to beat them.

Surely tomorrow their families will be in monasteries worshipping the Almighty or asking for help from their supposedly ancestral Kami.

I then take out the Gospel that I had brought from the lower realm and present it to her. "I have brought this for you from the Lower realm and It's the Most Classical with the most accurate translation. The Cover is made with the Bones of their realm's Shakyamuni Buddha."

She takes a glance at it and feigns happiness for my sake, still thinking about those people whose destiny was to die today.

When was the last time someone feigned happiness for my sake and actually gave 2 fucks about my mood? It must have been when I was quite young during my past life. There was some sort of figure who did it, I believe, but he disappeared soon after.

Now I think about how to console her and say: "They had a life span at most hundred years, but years pass by like a dream, thereafter the only thing in life that matters are small moments of happiness which we often overlook. Detach yourself from the mundane and connect with the Adi-Buddha..." I stop and place my hand over her hand, opening the book and pushing it onto her and say in a light humorous tone "Mind you not become indifferent."

"BAM!"

I suddenly find myself sitting on the bed, observing everything around me. It's as if all the things that were broken have now repaired themselves, returning to their former lively state. Yet, I can't help but wonder if my perception of "lively" might differ from someone else's interpretation.

"You....."

Hui Ying interrupts me by submerging my head on her thigh and saying, "Let me read it."

"So, you can also be childish." I tease her and she just pouts and starts reading.

Her tone while saying: 'Let me read it' was remarkably childlike, and I find myself marveling at the fact that, after a long time, I feel inclined to trust someone again but then again, you can never trust a religious person, as they are God-loving and God-fearing. I'm pretty sure she will cry after knowing the real me and ask me to seek forgiveness from Allah-Kabir. She would surely tell me, "Honey, I'll wait for you, so please take your punishment and plead guilty to the court."

Augustine may as well help me. 'Hmm... If only she were not a vampire.'

It was past midnight, and Hui Ying was completely absorbed in the Empty Gospel. This text earned its name of Empty not because it is empty, but because it doesn't mention the greatness of the Almighty or the manifestations of Adi-Buddha and their subsequent avatars' sacrifices but rather mention about...

"The force of love is greater than that of Orthodox righteousness... Self-sacrifice is greater than the sacrifice of others... Unrecorded history is full of love, and recorded history is full of hate." Hui Ying repeats loudly as she reaches the middle of reading the Empty Gospel. "I'll need to read it a lot."

****

"Honey, Honey, honey...Did you fall asleep? Are you awake? I wanted to ask you about Augustine. Honey....Why was she naked?... I told you to stay in the room, but you didn't listen."

Hui Ying repeatedly says while resting her hand gently on Ji Yan's head, looking down and her fingers curling into a tight grip. 'Now I have to start searching for that woman all over again from scratch.'

'"Aaaa, he is only mine. MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE ONLY  MINE.'
