Chapter 53 - 0.53

"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"

A loud sound echoes, snapping me back to sanity completely.

Naturally, I turn towards the door, maintaining a grin on my face.

"Excuse me, are you here?" "Bang!" "Bang!"

The loud banging persists, shaking me to the core with each hit.

The relentless calls grow louder and louder in the dark room, each echoing like an ominous bell. Despite my efforts, I find myself unable to escape its persistent summons.

"Honey, I know you're inside," she declares, her tone unwavering.

'Is there no choice but to open the door?' I ponder silently.

As the heavy silence settles, the atmosphere thickens with expectation, as if something dark and foreboding lurks just out of sight. My heart races, pounding in primal harmony with the relentless force that draws me closer to an unavoidable destiny.

With every passing second, the room seems to constrict around me, its walls closing in like the suffocating grasp of an ancient evil. I sense its malevolence hiding within the shadows, a tangible wickedness that sends shivers down my spine.

But out of curiosity, I accept the inevitable and walk toward the door. (after erasing that loser's concept.)

I mean, I know she's powerful enough to completely negate my formation with some technique. One could be through sheer strength or the other could be by consuming the Time of D infinite barrier that was particularly made to reject the entry of all girls in return for allowing any boy.

Though I can't fathom how she gained entry, I sense an underlying motive behind her relentless knocking.

I employ my Qi sense but as my consciousness reaches out to grasp the unseen threads of energy that bind the universe together.

.....' Let's perhaps not use it. I'm hallucinating.' I mumble to myself seeing something that I can't personally describe.

'Creak!'

The door opens, revealing an angelic-like beauty standing before me. While internally she may not be, externally she is undoubtedly captivating—a true beauty concealing a deadly nature.

'Why did I just see that then?'

"You look so delicate that it seems you have been born as a sculpture from the very fabric of dreams," I say, my words flowing effortlessly as I pull her into the room, hoping to divert her attention from whatever intention brought her here.

I use Qi-Telekinesis to close the door, but soon an intangible presence sends shivers cascading down my spine like Bloody Tendrils of Hell.

Soon, I look behind me and find Augustine standing there with her sharp nails and her fangs completely grown.

It's quite ironic how Destiny, my eternal adversary, seems determined to inflict suffering upon me, almost as if it seeks retribution for a simple act of kindness like feeding a cat.... Come to think of it, I don't think some girls are very trustworthy at all.

"Is there some Issue?" I genuinely ask, trying to ignore the fact that just a moment ago, I had held her in my arms and now she had slipped out...Forget it,

I put my hand on her neck and gaze into her eyes.

For a second, I see a realm of cosmic chaos and incomprehensible abominations in her eyes, controlling its urge to bind my soul.

"I have many questions to ask you...But that's not the point... Well now I don't even remember," she speaks.

"Then what happened? You're not looking normal," I tell her.

"Normal?" She scoffs, a wry smile twisting her lips. "Have you ever looked at me as normal after you started cultivating?

I look at her dumbfounded but now keeping some distance.

She continues, "You see, I don't trust Sister Ying, but when I read her Blood memories, I saw some interesting message."

I gulp my saliva and start moving toward the drawer.

She clarifies what interesting message she saw, "we can use this incident to Justifiably eradicate her realm from existence."

After hearing these words coming out of her mouth, I move my hand quicker and quicker inside the drawer, finding the best weapon in my spatial ring to come out of this room alive without needing to run away.

'Never mind'

"That's quite a grotesque message you saw. Does Hui Ying remember that? Invading the privacy of others is hardly commendable, but I must admit, it does offer a certain thrill."

I remark without facing her and continue, "I personally find a thrill in teasing a bit, I hope you won't mind that."

I turn toward her with a bright, childlike but professional smile, whereas my eyes drip with a seductive gaze.

"Hui Ying?" She says to herself but loud enough "I'm here but you're still talking about her".

'Thank God her attention got diverted'.

*HEHHEHEHEHEEEGROWL*

Never mind. Perhaps I messed up because this room which I once thought of as the best starts becoming ensnared within a labyrinth of dread, each shadowy corner concealing unseen terrors that embed malevolent fear in my trembling soul.

With a hesitant breath, I dare to speak her full name, "Augustine NobleHeart," yet as the sound hangs heavy in the air, a spectral chant beckons forth the specters of the night. "This is going overboard."

But when my gaze locks with hers, what greets me is a sight that chills me to the very marrow of my being. Her once placid visage now contorts into a grotesque mask of devilish proportions, her eyes alight with a sinister fire that speaks of arcane malice.

"368 years," Augustine's voice echoes through the oppressive silence, each syllable laden with an unfathomable longing. "I waited for you this amount of time, and yet you remain hateful, fearful, and put me down. Have I not treated you well?"

Paralyzed by the gravity of her words, I feel the tendrils of fear coil around my heart, a primal instinct urging me to flee from the encroaching crimson. But as I cast a desperate glance towards the door, I find it barred by chains wrought from the very fabric of despair, sealing me within the confines of my own impending doom.

"Augustine, I need to use the bathroom?" My voice trembles with uncertainty for a moment but soon changes to confidence as I retreat, my mind awash with visions of cosmic horrors lurking just beyond the veil of reality.

Yet Augustine's heartbeat is a haunting melody that reverberates through the chamber.

"Why hurry? It's not like you'll piss yourself if you wait a bit.... Well, it's not new for you to run from arguments and start crying like a baby?"

In a desperate plea for reason, I extend a trembling hand toward Augustine, throwing a rose towards her.

"Augustine I might have been one year old at that time, so I do not remember," I implore, my words a fragile barrier against the encroaching darkness.

"You do know right that I'm only ten years old currently and only look adult due to Body reformation arts and Cultivation."

But her response is as cold and unyielding as the void itself. With a flourish, she brandishes a blade forged in the fires of damnation, its edge shimmering with the promise of untold agony and despair.

"HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa"

'She really laughs like a Borderline mentally ill crazy bitch. Doesn't she?'

"Nice joke, you had been in this world even before the 142nd Epoch." She says.

"C'mon, that's not correct to say and insensitive.....I was in the womb at that time. I don't think it's correct to excuse my age".

Not my fault that my mother of this life decided to keep me in her womb for more than Thousands of thousands of years.

"You've really hurt me Ji Yan, you'll see how it feels to not feel loved...YOU Stop running away," Augustine's voice almost burst my frail body with finality as she saw me slowly but steadily moving toward the bathroom.

As she draws closer, her form gets distorted by the crimson blood surrounding her, unknowingly sending shivers down my spine and I realize that I stand upon the precipice of edge of the oblivion.
