Chapter 36 - 0.36

Six days have passed since I left my benefactor mansion.

A lot has been done, a lot to do.

I had my sights set on a bit of lazing around, but just as I was about to kick back, the blasted System's notification jolted me awake, imposing a one-month time crunch to complete the mission.

Ugh, what a bastard system!

"How could you possibly do this?"

A strong-willed handsome brat screamed.

"Have you no shame?"

Again screamed the Osarik Shark, the leader of the Shark magic clan.

The room seemed to have its peaceful silence broken as his words hung in the air.

"Do you happen to know anyone by the name Tayful or Mio?"

I asked him back waiting to be met with a response that might hold significance.

He unfortunately stormed toward me.

A reddish glow emanated from his hand, yet it halted, obstructed by his men.

"Is he a fool? How dare he speak such words to a lord descending from the Upper Realm?"

"He must be a fool to think he can offend someone from the Upper Realm."

Various voices echoed throughout the large palace-like hall, but I paid them little mind as I was trying to understand this snotty Young man's mind.

*Why is no one supporting me, I'm their chief*

*I saved them from the wrath of my evil father and took the throne of the clan for myself.*

"Are you thinking why is no one supporting you?" I conveyed telepathically, adding, "Well, it might be because I possess an irresistible charm. As they say, 'Either you're charming, or you're just not me.'"

"What?"

"In simpler words, I can do whatever the fuck I want unlike you who is born with a face not even mother would love." I praise him.

I told him so convincing, that he seemed to have no words to argue back despite the fact he was handsome.

Just for a little context, why he is angry, I killed his wife for not opening the door.

I had courteously requested her to remain composed, allowing me to enter without any cause for concern. The instruction was simple: stay calm, let me come in, not do anything suspicious, open the door, then step back and kneel, and put your hands behind your head.

She followed the instructions until - 'open the door' but acted slick just at the last moment.

Bang!

"Oh he is so So cute"

"I want to protect him"

"Shh, He'll hear you. Jeez The only thing I want to say is he is soooooo cute! I love his hair and the outfit he's wearing."

Dismissing the praises of some girls standing in the crowd with a roll of my eyes, I couldn't help but think, What a group of enthusiastic dumb bitches.

Once again, I directed my gaze at poor Osarik Shark, who was being held by his own brother and chief disciple.

It must be humiliating for him to be in this state and being watched by all his trusted subordinates by the sides.

*Is this it? the backlash of all the good luck so far.*

*I did everything for my people*

"I did everything for my people," I said repeating the words he was speaking in his mind.

*He can read my mind, I can't lie.*

"Lie? It's not a good habit to lie, Dishonesty backbites you"

*Fuck I'll ki no he can read my mind*

"Kill me? How?" I retorted.

Honestly, I can't read his mind but he has just lost his wife so all his thoughts are cliche and very predictable.

"Why are you doing this, you bastard?" Osarik screamed top of his lungs, his voice a mix of anger and desperation.

"Bastard? Such insolence,"

"Does he want to make the Upper Realm attack us?" someone whispered in fear.

"Clan head really has lost his mind," people whispered in fear and disbelief.

I took out the chocolate milk I preserved in the inventory and signaled them to shut their mouths.

Well, my mind became calm after I got the same taste.

"I came here to experience and fortify my mind in this particular lower realm but you seemed to have some ulterior motive didn't you?"

*What the hell is he uttering about?*

"Just because I didn't yield to your selfish desire and refused to give you my treasures, you killed your wife and tried to frame me for it"

"Wait, does that mean, the lady wasn't killed by the young celestial?"

"If the young celestial is saying it then it must be true"

"Yes, don't you know how virtuous young lady was. Why would Young Celestial kill a saintess like her."

The public started speculating something that wasn't particularly true.

Everyone after making their head-canon fixed their gaze on me.

They were mesmerized as I started emitting a rose-gold aura capable of shaking heart, mind, soul, and existence.

"Let him say what he wants," I commanded, raising my hand to silence any potential objections.

The room fell into a tense hush, waiting for Osarik Shark's next words.

"Don't you think this silence is a bit much?" I said frustrated but hidden by an air of calmness on my face.

Osarik didn't say anything.

A heavy silence hung in the air as Osarik remained mute.

'Good.'

'Fuck!'

Ignoring the notifications that attempted to unravel the emotions around me, I confronted Osarik about his ulterior motives for a while, accusing him of orchestrating his wife's death.

"You've been blessed with great talent and a perfect appearance, and still, you did this? I'm disgusted by you." Osarik said.

Disappearing from the throne I occupied, I reappeared just in front of him, slightly to the side, to be precise.

"I respect your fearlessness. I must also reward you for this fearlessness, right?" I remarked, a hint of amusement in my voice.

This statement plunged every member of the Shark Magic Clan, into a whirlwind of speculation regarding their leader's fate.

"Don't worry; I forgive you for attempting to frame me for your wife's murder. Now, do you seek forgiveness from Allah Kabeer for your insolence?"

I questioned, my voice infused with Qi, resonating with precision and clarity for everyone to hear.

"Why, you...?" He screamed, his gaze filled with fierce hatred.

'It's such a shame', I thought to myself.

I whipped out my sword and propelled it towards him.

His eyes shut so I stopped my sword 5 cm away.

"I'll let you off; you're not a bad person," I said with a grin.

"What?"

Everyone was in shock.

Their faces mirrored surprise, unable to reconcile with the scene unfolding before their eyes.

I ignored their gaze and words.

"Master, please ask forgiveness to him and he'll forgive you." Osarik Shark's disciple said, trying to make him understand, hoping not to see his master die today.

What a lovely traitorous disciple.

The group of elders joined in too, cautiously urging him to seek forgiveness.

As the elders and disciples pleaded for forgiveness, I found myself contemplating what should I do with him.

I can slowly play him into death or I can use his death to play with my curiosity.

Hailing from the upper realm, I do not need to be worried about leaving him alive, potentially risking him using imaginative warping but I'm still not completely immune to Supernatural arts.

"Leave his mental constraint, Freedom is the most important thing, I do not want to bind someone mentally."

I conveyed my decision with a feigned sense of sadness and mercy, emphasizing the importance of freedom and expressing my reluctance to impose mental constraints.

"So young celestial, what do you plan to do?"

Minister of Punishment pleaded against my intention, He was a tall, Old but muscular and bearded man who was wearing a very well-composed formal designer Uniform.

It increased my respect for him.

"Elder, I simply wish to give him a chance. How can I punish someone when only Allah Kabeer has the right to decide his punishment" I hesitate and continue in a sad tone "We all are masters of our fate and Allah Kabeer never delays a soul when its appointed time comes, If he is here then he must be destinated for greatness, hopefully. I wish to give him a chance"

My words cast a pall of sombre contemplation over the scene.

*Wisdom is not necessarily etched on age, I guess*

These were the thoughts everyone had in their mind except one.
