Chapter 25 - talk

....

"Micheal what you're saying is absurd, you can't possibly be serious!" A fat man wearing black suit and pants exclaimed a bit, hearing Michael's proposal. There were two other people in the gloomy lit room, specifically a female and another male.

The female wore a a long black dress with a slit by the right side, reaching up to her upper thighs stopping just a bit above her knee. She had black long wavy hair reaching down to her waist, a beautiful enchanting face with red eyes and fair skin. She had human arms, but her knuckles were replaced with silver knuckles.

"How could such an idea cross your mind Micheal, or have you gone soft on us?" Her eyes gleamed a bit red, as she sternly stared at him.

"Fucking kids nowadays, think they can just walk in here and spill out shit. But I promise you they don't usually make it out." The second man who had short black hair blue eyes, rock hard chest and abs with stallion like legs. He wore a blue suit that didn't hide his rocking muscles, as it looked like if he'd overstretched his arm the suit would give out with a rip. Black fitting pants and a gold and black shoe, designed with different strange patterns.

"I know you all might think my idea is meaningless, but think about it. What's the point of this damn war anyways? The resistance are basically no match for us, yet we still worry about insignificant things. If you ask me I would say we're fools, we should be the bigger beings and put an end to this war." Micheal expressed his opinion calmly and boldly, without any hints of fear of what the repercussion would be. He was sick and tired of this damn war, as countless of innocent lives had been lost from both parties.

Today it would be the resistance attacking an hunter, the next a hunter slaughtering members of the resistance. It was a sickening chain cycle that had been lingering on now, and he was tired of it not seeing the point anymore.

"Silence!" Gander the bulky man with blue eyes roared, slamming the rectangular table in front with his bare hands crushing it into pieces.

"You fool, it seems you are losing focus on the goal. Have you forgotten what those fucking resistance did to us? how long we've suffered and waited? how many of our brothers and sisters have died, for what? just in vain. No I won't allow it, all their deaths must be paid in full by the resistance!" Gander the bulky man shouted, his face burning with anger and hatred as he spoke.

"Micheal. you of all people should understand our goal, after what the resistance did to your family." As soon as sid the fat man spoke, Micheal clenched his fist tightly a frown forming on his face.

"You came to us remember? begging for our help for a chance at revenge, and we gave you the opportunity to lead the hunters to victory. Don't go cold on us now Micheal angel, at least do it for your family." Zelina the seductive female softly said, staring intently at Micheal who was shaking slightly.

"Of course.. the resistance and everyone in it will fall." Micheal coldly said placing his left hand to his chest, acknowledging his loyalty to the hunters.

"Good, now get out of here.. we have more important business to attend to." Bowing slightly, Micheal left the dark room lit up a bit by dim blue lights walking away.

"Do you think he's going to betray us or do something stupid?" Zelina asked, sensing Micheal state of mind was distorted.

"No, I doubt it. And even if he does, he will be swiftly dealt with." Gander said in a deep voice.

"Micheal is just a very small piece in our chest game, we need not worry about him." Sid shook his head, indicating they move on to other important matters at hand.

"Did you all feel it, that same energy 50 years back." He said to which they all nodded, as it wasn't long today they had felt a familiar energy they could never forget, burst out in the air everywhere.

"How could she still be alive? I saw her die in my own two hands." Zelina said, a bit shocked with a frown on her face.

"True, but knowing Richard gene capabilities it didn't come as a surprise to me. I figured sooner or later, he would finally choose her to reveal herself." Sid calmly said, tapping his fingers together contemplating about something.

"Then what are we waiting for? if the coward's bastard daughter, have decided to show her face again then let's just kill her." Gander grumpily spoke, a vein bulging at the top of his forehead.

"Easy gander. 50 years ago is a lot of time till now, and need I remind you why we almost lost." Sid looked over to gander who just scoffed, folding his hands together and looking away.

"There's a reason he decided to make her presence known now right?" Zelina asked to which sid softly nodded.

"Though am not sure, but I have some reasons. First, we all know the earth will evolve in 5 days time." They all nodded confirming his words as he continued. "Knowing Richard gene and how confident he is, I would say he's sending us a warning message."

"Fool." Gander grumbled, disgusted by hearing that name.

"Anyways, as the earth evolves so will all things in it including us." Sid said with a hint of excitement in his tone. "Everything would change drastically, as people, plants, animals, would begin to develop strange and foreign abilities. The resistance included." Gander frowned at that, but zelina just silently listened to what did was saying.

"Calm down my angry friend. It would be a double advantage to us, as our physical strength would also increase with the developing or in our case, addition of more abilities." Sid chuckled a bit, causing gander face to contort into a wicked smile.

"But still, shouldn't we be worried about her? Afterall she is the greatest threat we've ever faced, and I have a gut feeling the faster she learns of her powers and memories, the stronger she'd become." Zelina spoke with concern, as she feared of something terrible unexpectedly happening just before the fulfillment of their goal.

"Don't worry zelina, if that little brat decides to interfere with destiny then I'll make sure she dies permanently.." sid uttered in a cold tone, sending chills down but zelina and gander spine.

...

Micheal angel still dressed in his disguise from earlier walked down the streets of elite city, besides the city's market his head bent down a bit.

'The world is dying, and yet this damn idiots choose to fight over some stupid settlement.' Breathing in softly, Micheal's hand brushed some strands of his gold hair blocking his view to the side. He didn't know why, but he'd suddenly grown tired after all this years of fighting for nothing. He'd killed so many resistance fighters but still, the void hole in his heart hadn't been filled as he still felt empty inside.

'At least do it for your family.' He recalled zelina's words as it stung him in the heart, his expression immediately darkened hearing his family being repeated in his head.

"They took everything away from me, now am going to repay the favour." He softly muttered, entering his gold space car as he shot to the air speeding away to God knows where.

....

Back in the resistance specifically the big five office, zero could be seen heading out the door. Passing by, all of the resistance fighters he'd met stopped in there tracks most filled with shock and excitement, seeing the revered head of the resistance.

"Sir!" they placed their hands to their chest as a symbol of respect, to which zero just casually waved at in a hurry to go somewhere.

Passing some departments on the way he furthered down, navigating his way as he made his way to his designated point. Stopping the metal doors automatically slid open as he walked in, heading to the counter he saw a brunette haired nurse wearing the usual pink with white nurses uniform.

"Which room is Atlanta breeze staying in?" He quickly asked, not hesitating in the slightest. The nurse head was bent down but as she looked up, thrill and shook clouded her mind as she stared there frozen looking at zero.

"Calm down... I just need to know the location of Atlanta breeze." He spoke again jolting her from her trance. Shaking her head a bit she then went through the systems record, scrolling down it wasn't long before she found the room where Atlanta was in.

"She's on the second floor, section A room 35A." She said, and without further delay zero went up the second floor having known Atlanta's location.

Reaching he stepped out from the lift, as his feet treaded softly on the ground. Walking, he checked the numbers as he passed by not yet close to Atlanta's room.

'Room 23A'

'Room 29'

Walking a bit more, he was nearing the end of the narrow hall as he could finally see the room numbered 31 to 39.

'Room 35.' Stopping at the front of the door, he placed his hand to the biometric scanner which scanned him. Confirming his data the two iron doors then slid open, as he walked into the room painted with a white and green colour.

It didn't take long before his eyes met with that of Atlanta's, as her bed was in front so she would undoubtedly see anyone that came in straight away. They had a bit of a stare down for 2 seconds, their eyes locked in each other.

"You're awake." Zero softly said with a smile, walking forward staring at the boy wearing a lab coat seated, sleeping on the desk.

"I didn't except you to be in a relationship." Zero said raising a brow, causing Atlanta's eye brows to twitch slightly her face immediately going a bit red

"H-he's not my boyfriend." She immediately cleared the suspicious off his mind. "And what are you doing here anyways?" She coldly asked, glaring at zero knowing he didn't come all the way here just to mock her.

"Now now.. that isn't anyway to treat a friend." He smiled.

"Am not your friend."

"Geez.. that hurt." He rubbed his shoulder awkwardly, before his face immediately turned serious.

"Why don't we have a little chat about what happened in the fortifier." He softly said, but Atlanta could feel other intent from those words.
