After Kita finished a few other things he needed to do, he headed back to the ship. After he entered, he was approached by Noel.
"Hey boss, There's a guy called Nova Solis here. He says that you're gonna hire him or something?" Noel looked at Kita for some confirmation.
"Ah, Yes. Where is he?" Kita had forgotten about the meeting with Nova. But good thing that Nova didn't.
"I've taken him to the waiting area for guests. This way" Noel said as he led the way.
Kita followed him. They soon reached the room where he was waiting.
As Kita entered, he could see a blond guy sitting on a sofa.
The blonde skinny guy in his early 30s possessed facial features that can only be described as.... uncanny. With a slender frame and fair complexion, his appearance is ethereal yet enigmatic. His pale blonde hair falls in sleek strands, framing a face that defies conventional norms.
His eyes, wide and piercing, hold a gaze that seems to penetrate one's very soul. Their color is difficult to discern, a peculiar blend of gray and blue that adds to the mysterious aura he exudes. His eyebrows, thin and precisely arched, accentuate the intensity of his gaze, giving his face an otherworldly quality.
The man possesses a slender, upturned nose with a delicate and fragile structure. High and pronounced cheekbones contribute to his aura.
There was an uncanny symmetry to his features, which, combined with their peculiarities, created a face that is both captivating and disconcerting. His skin, fair and almost translucent, appears flawless, as if untouched by the passage of time.
While his physical appearance may be described as uncanny, it is this very peculiarity that sets him apart, drawing the curious gaze of those who encounter him. His uncanny charm and mystique make him an intriguing enigma, leaving observers captivated and perplexed by the elusive nature of his being.
As he noticed Kita entering the room, His eyes lit up! He quickly stood up, leaving his suitcase on the table in front of him.
Instead of staying where he was, He approached Kita with a somewhat enthusiastic expression.
Seeing his approach, Kita put forward his hand.
Which the man eagerly shook as he began to introduce himself.
"It's a pleasure finally meeting you Mr. Kita. I've heard so much about you and your endeavors from my uncle."
"Your uncle?" Kita was a bit perplexed.
"Yes, Mr. Holland. He's my uncle. He's the one who sent me." The guy explained while still shaking his hands.
"I see, You're Lieutenant Holland's Nephew?"
"Yes, He asked me to come work for you as you were in need of someone who could handle the day to day Administrative operations aboard the ship." He said as he finally let of Kita's hands.
"Y... Yes. I am in need of someone like that. I just bought the ship and...." Before he could finish speaking He was interrupted by Nova.
The guy took a few steps back as he bowed.
While bowing he said,
"I'll gladly take on the burden if you'll have me."
"Huh?" Kita's eye twitched as he watched Nova.
'Did this guy had a screw lose or something? Is something wrong with him?' Kita wondered.
"Stop Bowing. Mr. Solis. Please tell me about yourself a bit more. I hope you understand that I just can't hire you because Lieutenant Holland recommended you." Kita said as he gestured him to get up.
"Of course, I understand. Allow me to present you my qualifications." The guy said as he stood up, turned around and walked to the table where he had left his suitcase earlier.
He didn't open the suitcase, instead he accessed the built-in projection system of the table itself.
He began to project the various documents that explained his qualifications before Kita and Noel.
Kita began to read a few of them.
It seemed that Mr. Solis here had graduated from one of the most prestigious universities as a Fleet officer with honors. At the top of his class no less!
As expected, he had been nabbed by the military as soon as he had got out of Military, but he was soon discharged with honors. They didn't really give a solid reason on why they were letting him go. But it seemed that he was really good at what he did. All of his superiors had given him great recommendations.
That was more that weird. Normally the military wouldn't let such an officer go without any solid reason. But it seemed that was the case for Mr. Solis before him.
Kita decided to ask what was the reason.
"Mr. Solis. I see that you were discharged from the military with honors. Can I ask the reason for that? You're quite young and capable. So why would they let you go?" Something seemed fishy. Kita didn't know what. So he asked the guy anyway.
"Well, While in the military, I felt like suffocating. A life in the military wasn't for me. So I tried to resign multiple times. But the superiors won't let me. They didn't find any reason why they should accept my resignation. So I gave them one. As a result they let me go."
"I see.." Kita didn't ask what reason he had given them. But there was another question he wanted to ask.
"Why do you want to come work for me then? Isn't the job description pretty much same?" Kita asked.
He carefully watched Nova. His expression slowly change to that of excitement. It seemed as if he was really happy for something.
"To be honest, I didn't want to at first. But when Uncle explained the situation, I started to research you a bit. Someone as accomplished as you threw everything aside for someone you love. Your story, your mindset tells me that you're a really interesting guy. And working for you should let me experience many wonderful things. So I decided to get on the next ship to Handeln." The guy said with a weird expression on face.
Kita couldn't quite point out what. But something about his expression felt awfully uncanny.
