Iarrived at school the next day, and I saw that Yui Akari's shoe box was right next to mine. She was in the middle of changing her shoes, and when she saw me, she quickly put her shoes on and ran away. After what happened yesterday, avoiding me is a normal reaction. After I got home, I seriously considered the option of helping her, but after some thoughts, that option seems like the most illogical one of all. If I decided to help her, I would have to deal with a lot of things that I do not want. First of all, if she really wanted help, she would've called for help either from the teachers or other authorities such as police or parents. But the fact that she didn't, tells me that she does not want to be saved. And being affiliated with a person like that would only make it harder for me to become friends with other people, thus harder to collect information. After putting all that into consideration, I came to the conclusion that it is best to leave her be.
I arrived at the classroom and I saw that those 3 were surrounded by other students as usual. I learned that those 3 was not only popular in my class, but in the entire school. Tanaka Aoi is extremely popular among girls, due to his friendly nature and his handsome face. Suzuki Himari is popular among the boys because of her beautiful figure and face. She has silky brown, long hair all the way down to her waist, and her long eyelashes made her seem more seductive. Her slender figure and her c sized breast make any man go crazy. Nakamura kenji is popular among both guy and girls. His sunshine personality makes other people like him immediately, paired with his great athleticism makes both boys(no homo) and girls fall for him.
I went to my desk and put all my stuff down to get ready for class, when those 3 approached me and started chatting with me. Although they were good people, I do not wish to become friends with them or hang out with them on a daily basis. Standing next to stars would only make you brighter and more noticeable. Their only purpose was to make me look friendly and help me make connections with other people. But for the meantime, I will have to endure the brightness for a while.
"Hey Nohara-Kun, how was your morning?" Tanaka Aoi along with the other 2 approached me and greeted me with a smile.
After some small chat, Tanaka Aoi invited me to join them for lunch again. I accepted the invitation because I wanted to ask them about the student council. When Suzuki Himari said that the student council would rarely interact with the student body, she was not exaggerating. I have yet to see , even after walking around the whole campus. I even asked the teachers about the location of the student council's office, and they don't even know. The fact that nobody knows where their office is located, is too much of a scary fact to ignore. After finishing 2 class periods, it is time for lunch. I met them at the spot we were at yesterday and we started eating. I had the same thing I had yesterday, 2 pieces of bread and a bottle of water. The 3 of them was talking about something so it was not a good time to ask, so I waited until they finished talking to start the conversation.
"You guys wanna know what I learned yesterday?"
The 3 of them looked at me with confusion.
I continue with my sentence
"I heard that nobody in the school knows where the office of the student council is located. Don't you guys think it's weird that, the people that are supposed to represent the student, but the student don't even know where they are?"
I tried to be more casual about it so that they don't think I am obsessed with the student council.
"Oh you mean that?" Suzuki Himari answered.
"Well I guess it is kind of weird, but we don't really care about the student council since it doesn't really matter." Nakamura kenji said.
I was disappointed since I was not getting the answer I wanted, but suddenly Tanaka Aoi said something that really had me excited.
" Speaking of the student council, I think I saw one of the members going into an abandoned building after school yesterday." After I heard that, I immediately started asking more questions.
"hmm~? What building?" I tried to be low key about asking these questions to not appear desperate.
"It the old building near the park outside of our school"
It was the first time I had heard about an abandoned building near our school. It looks like I still lack information. After some time, the bell rang and we went back to our class. When I got back I noticed that Akane got dirt all over her shirt. It seems like she was bullied again. And even after seeing that, my decision did not change. I walk to my seat and I notice from the side of my eye, that Akane was looking at me. Although I find it weird, I didn't really pay too much attention to it.
After the school ended, I decided to pay the abandoned building a visit. The building was 3 stories high, with cracks all over the wall and it just oozes creepy vibes. The moment I stepped into the building, the smell of rotten materials just rushed into my nose. 'Why the hell did the student council member have business in this sh*t hole?' I think to myself. After clearing all the rooms on the first and second floor, I got to the third floor. I immediately noticed that it was cleaner than the first few floors. There was a room that was lit at the end of the hallway. I opened the door, and the room was way different than I imagined. The room was neatly organized and there was a sofa, bookshelf and other essential needs.
I walk towards the table with a pile of documents on top and I slightly look over them. I stopped in a folder which was titled "Operation England". After going through the documents, I was thoroughly surprised about the content. It turns out that the school was built by the Aikawa family, and the school was used to test and determine the successor for the Aikawa family, to see if they have the skills to run an Organization. I have heard of the Aikawa family. They are the ones that secretly run the biggest corporations in Japan. They are similar to the Rothchild Family, but on a much smaller scale. They are not well known in Japan for some reason. It seems like the successor of the Aikawa family would be put in charge of the student council, and they would run the school. And it seems like they have a point base system and whoever has the highest point, would take over the biggest company, and the ones with lesser points would have companies with less value. And the student council president for this term is Fumiko Aikawa, the daughter of Hiroshi Aikawa, head of the Aikawa family.
As I was reading the rest of the documents, I heard footsteps walking up the stairs. I quickly put the documents back where I found them, and looked around the room to find a place to hide. There was a closet in the corner of the room big enough to fit a person. I quickly hide in the closet and listen as the footsteps gets closer and closer. After a few minutes, I heard the door being open and I heard multiple voices starting to talk.
"How is the operation going?" Said a female voice. I assume the owner of the voice is the student council president Aikawa Fumiko.
"Yes Aikawa-sama. Things have been coming along pretty well, although I observed an instance of a student being bullied and harassed. What do you think we should do about that, Aikawa-sama?" This time it was a male voice speaking.
"If it doesn't spread outside the school, then we would do nothing about it. We need to put more resources into other more important things, and not some puny bullying." Aikawa said with a cold tone. After listening to what she said, it seems like she is a rather cruel person, though I'm not in any position to criticize her.
"So how is the funding coming along? The stupid father of mine is always so stingy with my funding. Everytime, he only gives me the funding that covers the most basic things."
"Yes Aikawa-sama. Although we don't possess much money, we invested in the teams that achieved the most such as, the Basketball team, Baseball team, and the track and field team." It was another male's voice but with a much higher tone than the first one.
"Great. But I want you to cut the funding for the track and field team, and use that money on the basketball team, until our next paycheck comes in."
"Yes Ma'am!"
After around 20 minutes of discussing school funding and other issues, they eventually left the room. After determining it was safe to come out, I opened the closet door. I looked out the window and saw that all three of them were getting into a black limousine. Thinking back to their conversation earlier, I found out what the other two was called. The one that was reporting about the school in general was called Sato Kiyoshi, and the one that reported about the funding of the school was called Hayate Yamamoto. Although there were only 3 of the student council members in the building today, there might be more of them that did not come. I can not do anything reckless until I find out more about the student council. I decided to go back to the school after realizing I forgot some books that I need for my homework. When I reached the main gate of the school, I saw that somebody was standing at the gate, seemingly waiting for somebody. I was slightly surprised at who that was. The person standing in front of the gate was none other than, Yui Akari.
