'Right, the description doesn't make any sense sometimes.'
Kivas missed using [Tautology].
As Kivas was hit by the golden orb, his body was pulsating in violet waves. Immediately after, both of his arms fell off, as it was getting replaced by a pair of scythe-like with disastrously pointy ends of crustacean limbs. The connection between the body and the scythe-like limbs were then severed, only to be ethereally connected by violet spectral matter.
'Wohoho! They look like those deep-abyss creatures in sci-fi movies!'
They were bright violet, until the exhausts on Kivas' body began to produce a huge amount of Impurity, enveloping all of the four limbs. A second later, the Impurities dispersed, leaving the reformed Spectral Quadpod Legs.
Instead of a scythe-like feature, one whole part of the leg was replaced by an expanding triangle geometric shape, forming a large exhaust hole on the joint while leaving a sharp tip on the end. It was as if the Xuanlong's Constitution influenced the Void Walker's Constitution to turn into its defensive and utility-focused version.
Right now, Kivas looked more of a xeno-beast that might appear as a secret mob in a monster hunting game, but smaller. Of course, with his dorsal arm still intact, holding his Torch of Blight.
At least it was a major improvement from being a tadpole jello with three arms.
'These legs are a little bit hard to use…'
The quadpod legs were heavier than her main body, and the fact that it was not physically connected to the torso, made it harder to properly walk.
The spectral matter can be extended and and contracted, making Kivas physique to be technically a middle floating main body that was afloat and connected to four moving anchors. With that image ingrained, Kivas tried to see if the spectral links could be used like some sort of rubber.
He pulled his torso upward and then flung it upward, at the same time when his body was launched, he pulled up all four of his legs with him.
It resulted in a vertical jump that reached 8 meters in height.
'AAAAAAAAAA-'
Apparently, he jumped too high.
And thus, he landed rather awkwardly.
Painfully, even.
'Hahahaha, it is hard to master, but it has potential!'
Standing up was rather easy, but he still needed to adjust the contraction and extension of the spectral links when he walked. Otherwise, his torso would be let behind while the four legs were 3 meters away from him.
On the other hand, he could launch one of his legs as a weapon. By basically extending the spectral link and boosting the leg with a burst of Impurity, the leg would turn into a rather terrifying controlled missile.
He could also use this method to lunge himself forward, by sending two legs and then pulling himself into it. Although, stretching the spectral link of the legs for too much would result in an extremely sharp pain, just like a ripped tendon muscle.
He learned that the hard way.
However, the spectral links would heal themselves with enough time.
He ended up practicing on using his new legs for 6 hours.
'Right, I'm too excited by these new legs of mine that I forgot about the second purple orb.'
Without hesitation, he then opened the panels. The symbol of the left [???] was a snake head with frills, while the right [???] had the symbol of five orbs surrounding a bigger orb in the middle.
That kind of vague symbol was mostly the sign of a Boon of Utility.
'Let's just hope that my body won't turn into an old game graphic spheroid instead, ahahah.'
-Boon of Utility-
[Orb Combining: Red-Grade Boon Orb]
-Why use five individual knives when thou can use one double-handed sword? The boons from the red colored orbs shall be the one thou have never seen before. For better improvement, for better alteration! Combine five purple-colored orb to reach the imminent of red galore!-
'OOOHOHO!'
Kivas felt like he had just found something very crucial.
'I see, so I can combine 5 purple orbs to get a red orb, which is hypothetically higher in grade and may spawn a better boon than the one provided from the purple orb.'
This made Kivas' mind tingle a little bit. If the boon from the purple orb was this good, then what kind of boon would the red orb provide?
If the purple orb could grant Kivas a boon with something like a furnace stomach that could digest the hardest of minerals, would the boon from the red orb may give him an internal digestion system that converts air into an energy equal to a nuclear reactor? The purple orb gave the constitution of Xuanlong, would the red orb give him the constitution of deities and gods?
Kivas' adventurous soul was heavily pampered by all of these possible discoveries. Who would have thought that finding and experiencing new things would feel this high peak of great?
'Alright, I have a clear goal in mind for today!' Kivas, who was currently soaking in the river once again, began to raise both of his front legs in enthusiasm. 'Gather five legendary orbs to have my wish come true!'
That was not exactly how it worked, but Kivas couldn't help but say that in his mind.
With his energy refilled, he began to explore the weird and magical forest once again.
"This is Angravada to Delamuion." A young female voice with mature intonation could be heard from the platform on top of the waterfall. A splash of light was reflected from the lenses of the protruding binocular, held one-handed by a figure with a short green cloak. "An unknown creature has been sighted. It's not confirmed that it's the same creature as our target, but it seems like it will fetch for a rather good price. Or should I say~!"
She then removed her hood, revealing a fluffy teal hair with round rodent ears. She had a petite figure, with her body coated with all kinds of leather pouches and straps, holding all kinds of adventuring tools and equipment. Her face held almost zero emotion, but her tone of voice would suggest that she was an expressive and playful person.
With a cold violet gaze attached to the leaving weird creature, her fingers flew over the floating runes and rhythmic energy circulation beside her.
"Regardless, I'll be sending the 'location'~ but don't spread the coordinate to others yet!" Her grin was unhinged. "We don't want the 'Untethered One' to flee from this forest yet, especially since it will usually result in a, catastrophic kaboom~"
