Contemplate
We often think of love to be such a beautiful thing, those who haven't experienced it are often eager to find it. We get brainwashed by all the couples shown on TV, but what we don't know is not everything is as it seems...love means giving someone access to your heart, it also means giving someone permission to break it.

Prologue
"Virela....that's my name...Virela Shadows". A girl with no special dreams, no special requests all she asked for was for things to stay the way they were. Her life was finally going where she wanted, she landed herself a good job, she knew it was too much to ask for more, all she wanted was for things to stay the same. Dreaming isn't something she did, after all...dreams are for people who can afford them. There was a time when she was in middle school, they asked "what is your dream?" Others mentioned love, others riches, and others long life. When it was her turn, she simply answered, "I can't afford to dream, I have too much to lose, I'd rather stay on the technical side of life." And like that, the class was filled with silence.
As an adult she knew that the only thing that had her back was her money. Her family wasn't exactly the best thing...people just drifted away from each other, the family just felt empty even though everyone was there...as she expected...love never really lasts.
"The skies of Baltimore can't get any prettier", she says to herself while out for lunchtime. The breeze just carries the happiness of the people around, the water crashing against the boats, the sun shining down upon everything... but most of all it's the season for love. Love is in the air, people coming for dates, now don't be mistaken, Valentine's Day was a long while back, this season is just a wave of people blinded by love.
She walks back to her office, people may say she has it all, a promotion as a director, perfect height with gorgeous proportions. A sexy being is what she is . "Looking good today boss", is what she hears upon entering the building up into her office. Thirty years old and has been working herself to the top. Although she doesn't believe in love, she doesn't help but feel skeptical about her views on it. "What if it's a good feeling and I'm missing out?" "What if I'm just afraid to step into the light?" But all those thoughts disappear after she recalls what happened to her friends. They loved a little too much, too stupidly, foolishly, it was almost like slavery. It wasn't love, it was slavery, working hard to please someone, to get someone to love you as much as you do when you clearly know well it won't happen, that's the kind of risk she wasn't about to take.

On the other side a man blinded by the beliefs 'love shall overcome everything'. One Keith Malloway , no matter how many times he saw people's hearts break, he believed it was a way of teaching you how to cherish others even more. How to love the next one even better than the last. He believed that love is love but cannot last without foundation. One may think he as a surgeon would be able to understand how heart wrenching a break up can be, how it hurts so bad it feels choking. The person you once loved breaking you in less than 30 seconds. Keith compares that pain to a heart burn. It last for a while but disappears after. He is naïve, he himself has experienced heart break, but he see's it as a learning opportunity, to make himself a better person, to show the person he once loved what she is missing out.....
I'm back with another story, it's different, it's definitely not cliché I can tell you that, I have so many possibilities spinning through my head. And don't worry, his hospital isn't near where she works so no bumping into each other by the street🙃🙃🙃
