After the fighting day Max did not really do much. When the competition was over all of the official competition was over. Some countries got higher levels then they had before and some got down the line. It was part of life. The real business was going to be done behind the scenes, but it would happen only the day after because there were many things to discuss and it would not take a hour or two. It was unclear how much time it would take. All the leaders were informed about this at the first meeting even before the competition for the different countries has began. Back then Max was sad to hear it. Debate between different country leaders was something that will drive him mad in a very short amount of time. Noble retards try to measure who has the bigger pipi. Being around them for even a day was a real challenge. Max decided to not think about it and just have a good rest. Max went to the evening meal and left right after to not talk with people too much. He lived almost 700 years without much interaction with people. He was not used to so much interaction with other people each day. Max did not delay and just went to sleep. He did not sleep in the simulation and now was a good time to do something good for the body and just live like a normal person, while Max was nothing related to normal at all for sure.
After having a good night of sleep Max got his shit together, while getting ready for a hard day. He went for the breakfast meal and just went back to his room after that. He got informed that the meeting will be one hour after the morning meal.
Soon this time has passed and Max arrived to the meeting hall. The hall was grand and very big. There were multiple decorations with gold and silver, paintings, flowers, statues and more. There were places for all the 35 different country leaders that built the empire. There was eight level one countries, seven level two countries, five level three countries, five level four countries, four level six countries , four level seven countries, one level eight country and one level nine country that was the ruler of the Ruth empire. Max was one of the many level one country representatives that were sited away from the ruler of the empire. It was something that made him very happy, but he tried to hide it to not attract attention, but it was hard. Many people were looking at him or trying to have a conversation. Even the higher level rulers wanted to get to know him and talk about purchasing alchemical materials, armors or both. After a short chat Max sat down and the meeting officially began. Max wanted to keep low key and not talk at all. Try to get over with it and just leave.
The meeting began with the empress talking about the financial, political position of the empire and the relations with the bordering two level one empires around. It was a long speech, during which Max was fighting himself to not fall asleep. All the other leaders were listening to her with interest. Max was losing his mind.
'Why the fuck I need to listen to this stupid shit? If they would give me a few more days I would just tell them to go fuck themselves and continue to live my life. As a walking nuke my country will be safe from those retards. After I saw their younger generation I see that it is very bad. Just a load of shit. System do you have any games outside the gaming club that I can play? Like online games or something? I'm losing my mind here.' Max said to the system.
The system did not respond. Max knew what it meant and he did not like it.
'You know system you should support me. We lived together for more then 1000 years. You are at my team. Come on, help me out here.' Max pleaded but to no avail. The system became mute.
During that time there were talks about how much each country will get in terms of budget and how much each country level should pay to the empire every month.
Max was trying to look neutral, but his face was twitching. He could not bare it. There was no use to talk about something that he was not going to be a part of.
Soon all eyes were turned to him and he got the point that it was his turn take his amount of taxes. He tried to not listen to the conversation and think about his own stuff to not fall asleep and make his situation even worse.
The empress looked at Max and said: "King Max we all know that your alchemical and blacksmith products are very good and gave the empire a lot of room for improvement, but in the same time your citizens harmed and killed multiple nobles from countries of different levels. It is a crime and I would like to hear an explanation why did it happened."
'Here we go.' Max thought.
"Well it is pretty simple. They came to my territory and violated the rules of my country. They were supposed to be arrested, but they resisted violently and because of that they were killed. If they would act like people nothing would happen to them. The people from Valeria and Eldoria countries entered to my country to buy products and were not touched even after what they tried to do to my country before. If everyone were acting in a normal way no one would touch them at all. People came and were screaming at the city gates to give them all the alchemical, blacksmithing products and weapons or they will need to get it by force. It don't look normal to me. That's why they died." Max said while shrugging.
Some of the rulers that lost high level warriors started to scream at Max and object what he just said. They all demanded justice. It was dumb. Their play was really not convincing. Max was getting a little tense because he felt that shit was going to get down hill in the very near future. As he expected the empress said: "Guards, arrest King Max for further interrogation! If he will resist you have permission to kill. We will need to go into the Yin Yang country and make an investigation and than we will see what to do next."
Max looked at her and the others and said: "Really?"
