Chapter 37 - Gaming club of blacksmithing?

In the sixteen days that Rey was inside the simulation not much happened in the outside world.

When Rey entered the simulation Max told Derek when he returned: "Derek, I will allow you to be in the simulation for 8 hours of the night sleep every day. I will pay for you now. You will need to get to a level of a rank one apprentice knight as soon as possible. Now you are too weak. If someone with power will come, you will just die. You have to win the level one bot. When you do that I will give you access to the goblin crypt. There you will need to grind monsters until you get to a level of apprentice knight. After that you could get more weapons from the goblin crypt and sell them to pay me back. If I see you slack off, I will cancel our agreement. All is up to you."

Derek was elated and said: "Boss you can count on me!"

After that the people from the adventurer's guild came again. They were eager to win the level one bot to get more opportunities to study new things. Most of them were really far from it. Still their skills improved by leaps and bounds. The closest to the win was the guild master. Some of the guards brought their children for an aptitude test. It was not cheap but still pretty affordable to pay two silver coins to see the prospects of your child in terms of talent. Some of the kids were discovered to have talent for knight training. Most of them did not have any. After the results were shown some of the kids started to cry. The guards that their kids failed in the appraisal tried to comfort them. When Max saw that he said: "If any of those kids will be able to win against a level one copy of themselves, I will provide them with a way to get the ability to cultivate life force and start their knight path. The kids will have a chance while I'm still in town. For now, I don't plan to leave but I can't promise you anything."

When the guards heard that they were very happy for a moment but after a short time of deliberation they understood that this test was hard. Even they could not do it and they were not new to fighting. A kid with no battle experience will have a no chance to do it in a short period of time. It will take a long time for someone to succeed. The kids that failed got a lot happier and soon stopped crying. They started to ask they relatives to give them a chance to train. Most of the guards scratched the back of their heads. The prices for training were high. They could not afford paying for their training even without paying for the kids. 10 silver coins per hour was no joke.

Max understood their thoughts and said: "If anyone of you will be able to win the level one bot, I will give you access to the goblin crypt. There you could raise your cultivation level until the second level of apprentice knight and get equipment that is sold for at least 1 gold coin. It is not easy to get the equipment but it's the easiest way to earn money to pay for you and your children's education. You need to work hard. Of course, there are other things you will be able to get for yourself, but the goblin crypt is the best thing for you right now. You can get to the goblin crypt with a group of maximum five members to clean it with a party. You decide how to split the cost for the equipment, but I think that with a good teamwork you should be able to earn well. It's all up to you."

Max thought about it and said to the system: 'Lower the drop rate for people that are going to a dungeon level that is lower than their strength level. Make it 20% of the drop rate for normal players. It will make the gaming experience more balanced. If there will be a need, I will tell you for what people you don't need to lower the drop rate. For now, make it for everyone except of me.'

All the people that heard it looked with a big fighting spirit at Max. Their conviction to progress in their training increased by a huge amount. Only the guild master did not really care about it, but he still approved on what Max was doing. Growing a strong next generation was a good deed.

People started to pay and try their best to win the level one bot, but they were far from success. Even the guild master did not win the bot yet. He was able to injure it, but he always died before the bot.

The evening was uneventful. No one made a major progress. Later in the evening Max went to the church. He informed the old lady and Elena that Rey will be in seclusion training for some time and told them not to worry. He explained the way Rey was doing his training so they will not think much about it. Ammy and Elena did not really understand what the hell he was talking about, but they still nodded. Most of the people did not understand Max until they got to experience it by themselves.

In the day after Wilfred and Eden came to the gaming club. After a greeting they asked Max: "Boss Max, you told us that you explain how you got all of this equipment. So how did you get it?"

"Well, you can get it when you finish the dungeon of goblin crypt in my simulation. You both not fighters so it should be pretty hard for you to do it. I don't think that it will be possible." Max said.

The due did not really understood what he was talking about. Wilfred still asked: "Is it possible to learn blacksmithing here? I was trying to broaden my horizons."

Max scratched his head and asked in him mind: 'System is there a possibility to study blacksmithing skills in the simulation?'

'It is possible, but it is needed to pay 1000 gold coins to open the simulation options for blacksmithing.' The system said.

'It is possible for someone to pay for it in advance or it have to be me?' Max asked the system.

'In blacksmithing it is different. The person pays for the materials used inside the simulation because he can take out the pieces of equipment he creates. If someone pays for you in to open the blacksmithing simulation options, he will get a one-time opportunity to use those coins to pay for his materials. If it was you the prize will be the same. Because there is a small chance you will make it happen it is better to open this option for the public in other way. In short, in this case it is possible because its someone that is interested in the LifeSkill jobs is a representative of one of them. Because he is a blacksmith that is trying to open the blacksmith simulation it is possible.' The system answered.

Max told the due about what he heard from the system. The duo was taken aback. 1000 gold coins. Holy shit! That was a lot. After thinking for a small amount of time they told Max they will think about it and then they just left after telling their goodbyes.
