Max was in the simulation for 50 years.
He learned the assassin skills on a good level. Now he was a level 8 knight apprentice. The progress he made was acceptable with the time he had but his talent for becoming a knight was pulling him down really hard. If he was doing this in the real world he will most likely will not get to this level in a lifetime. He was not sure what was the lifespan of humans in this new world and if he had the same lifespan or was different because of the system. After adding the assassin class to the bot interface he was fighting every day he discovered that he was not a match to the level 3 bot that he got to fight and win most of the time. He went down to a level two bot and he had a mediocre win rate at first. After fighting this type of bot for almost forty years he could win consistently against the bot in the third level with the skills of a knight and assassin. The improvement came from a simple realization. Max understood that he needed to choose his weapon. He used a longsword and a shield when he studied the knight class and two daggers when he practiced the assassin skills. After some deliberation he chose two katanas as his weapons. He wanted to be able to replicate both classes and it was the closest thing that was suitable to him and could replicate to some way some of the knight skills he had learned. After picking up the two katanas he began to try to spar again. At first he lost to the third level bot and dropped the difficulty level of two. He still felt that those weapons were right for him. As time passed he progressed his skills and got used to his new fighting style. When he got to the present time frame, living in the simulation for 50 years he was getting close to fighting the level four bot on equal terms and consistently winning the third level one. He finally felt he got the needed skills to try and study the archer class.
When he chose the archer class he saw only a two skills:
-Archery(passive).
-Double shot.
Max started studying archery with the breathing technique and the bot fighting sessions. Ten more years passed. Max added the archer class to the bot that he fought every day but it did not change much in terms of PvP.
The assassin skills countered the archer class and because of that nothing changed. Max became a little better at this time and was fighting the bot better. He was now on equal terms with a level four bot. He thought that this was a big achievement. Time slowly passed. Another fifty years passed. Max became num to the passing of time. He felt like he was some kind of machine. He started to like fighting every day. It was already part of him. He became a lot less sensitive to pain and sometimes when the bot chopped or slashed one of his limbs he would try to trade blow for blow and inflict damage to the opponent at the same time. He was now fighting a level five bot on equal terms. He was not sure if this was good or not but he was satisfied with his results. The best thing for him was the fact he was now very close to a level of a knight. He was level nine apprentice knight and he was sure he will get there pretty soon. Also he mastered the archer skills but he did not really used them in battle. Because of that he trained those skills separately for an hour in a day. 20 more years passed. Max was now using the breathing technique. He felt that he was stuck in a bottleneck for a long time now. A few years already he did not get any progress. Today he felt different. He felt that soon he will get though this invisible barrier. Few days passed. While using the breathing technique he felt a quantitative change in his body. The amount of life force that started to flow through his body increased drastically and some impurities were expelled from his body. "Ahhhhh!!!" He screamed out load. Finally he got the level he wanted. He asked the system on how much time passed and when he understood that he spent 130 years getting to a level of a knight he was flabbergasted. The system was really making him work for his power. So much time for such small result. He did not progressed much in terms of his fighting capability. His level got a tiny bit better but still he was a little stronger then the level five bot. He was winning in sixty percent of the time. He tried to cultivate with the breathing technique after he broke though to the knight level and he felt like it would take him around one thousand years in the simulation to progress in a drastic way. He was not going to continue cultivating his warrior class anymore. It was time for the mage class study. Max chose the mage class and was very surprised by all the options he saw.
-Fire Mage.
-Wind Mage.
-Water Mage.
-Earth Mage.
-Lightning Mage.
-Support type Mage.
He was not sure what to study first.
"What can you recommend to study first system?" Max asked.
"I would recommend the support mage class. It can increase your stats and the stats of your allies for a short amount of time. Also in that case you don't need to feel the attribute of the element you will need to cast. You just need to have enough magic power and the ability to manipulate your mana in the right way and it will succeed. It is the best class to study for beginners like you." The system replied.
"Alright then." Max answered.
He realized that he got information about a meditation technique that was designated to make him a mage in the far future. Max was afraid of the amount of time had to spend to finish with all the mage skills needed.
When he opened the support type Mage he saw a lit of different skills
-Mana fusion.
-Bull strength.
-Speed boost.
-Heal.
-Inspect.
-Weakness.
...
Max saw other skills but he chose only those six. He felt that if he will need a lot more time to study the mage class. Generally in all the novels he saw mages were a prestigious class that was hard to come by. His most desirable skill was Inspect. He loved the fact the he could tell the general power level of a person. If the inspected specimen was not a knight or a mage he could tell if they had the possibility to become a mage or a knight. The bad thing was that this skill did not show the level of the aptitude the person had.
Mana fusion was a skill that infused a weapon with mana for a time. It made the weapon much more deadly because a blade infused with mana could cleave in half an armor that normal weapon could not penetrate.
Bull strength increased the strength of a person that this skill was casted on by two times for half a hour.
Speed boost increased the agility of the person that this skill was casted on for half an hour.
Heal was a skill that healed the person this skill casted on. The amount of healing depends on the amount of mana infused in the skill.
Weakness was a debuff skill that caused the stats of the person this skill was casted on to decrease by thirty percent.
All the buff and debuff skills Max saw could turn around a tide of a battle. It was very impressive.
After Max inspected the description of all the skills he started meditating to start his way as a magic caster.
